Job Summary:
We are a regional headquarters of the leading Japanese manufacturer in the machine vision industry, seeking a proactive and skilled engineer of machine vision applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical solutions of machine vision including application tests, technical consultations, product training and test lab management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct evaluation study on sample product for LED lighting selection, machine vision components feasibility test, and image processing capability test, at our in-house test lab or at customer site.
· Provide technical consultation on machine vision components such as lighting, lenses, cameras, and controllers as per inquiries.
· Liaise with machine vision component vendors or integrators on technical-related matters.
· Provide technical consultation on CCS and its distributing products.
· Conduct lighting seminars and training to new prospective or existing customers.
· Manage test labs equipment and prepare demo loaners to customers.
· Support sales team with technical knowledge and project advisory.
· Inspection for returned loaners (physical appearance and basic functionality check).
· Conduct product failure analysis with report generation.
· Standby for ad-hoc task, including but not limited to products and technical projects.
Qualifications:
· Possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical) or equivalent.
· Knowledge in machine vision or automation will be an added advantage.
· Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office.
· Preferably with 2 years of relevant working experience in the machine vision industry.
· Preferably Proficiency in English and Chinese to communicate with Chinese Vendor and Customer; knowledge of Japanese is a great advantage.
· Team player who is meticulous, diligent, independent, responsible and with hands-on capabilities.
· Willing to travel when required.
Training and Development:
· Successful candidates will be given the training for lighting solutions in Singapore, Malaysia and/or Japan.
· The training of camera, lens and other products will be also given in our facility or at our partner’s facility when needed.
