Responsibilities
- Responsible for health, safety, and environmental control, and to lead the ASM to enforce on compliance with safety requirements.
- To review proposed method statement in the areas of risk assessment, work plan, standard operating procedures (SOP) and safe working procedure, incident investigation report and to verify that they are properly executed on site.
- To plan and coordinate safety inspections, obstacle control, and proper monthly maintenance regime of equipment / machinery is carried out and documented.
- To assist the PSM on all safety, health, environmental and welfare matters to ensure the Project complies with its statutory.
- To immediately notify the Project Safety Manager if situations are found that, in the opinion of the Safety Manager, require immediate rectification or the stopping of any operation.
- To notify the Project Safety Manager if the corrective action agreed after any workplace inspection is not implemented by the arranged date.
- To assist the Project Safety Manager to ensure investigation is carried out for all incidents
Requirements:
- 5 Years of WSH experience in deep excavation works of similar complexity, preferably 3 years with developer/main contractor.
- Registered with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer and have been practicing as WSHO
- Has obtained certificate in development of a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
- Has obtained certificate in DfS appreciation course and Lifting Operations course
- Conversant with all procedures in the Aerodome Manual
