INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
This position is a Semi global level planning leader role with primary responsibility for developing and implementing global marketing strategies, providing key inputs and intelligence on customers, acting as an effective partner and counterpart to the business leaders.
This position will play an active role in disseminating business intelligence for the global business leaders to develop and enhance the Semiconductor Technologies (ST) global strategy. The Global planning leader should enhance and optimize best practices across the ST lines of business.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for improving the organization’s understanding of industry trends and technical roadmaps:
- Accountable for processing / synthesizing multiple external sources including industry third party experts and customer intelligence and advising/partnering with the business on long term assumptions.
- Develop a vision of the future commercial environment taking into account predicted economic outlook, macro-trends and enablement of upcoming disruptive technologies.
- Define value proposition across the ST industry beyond the current supplies / products sold by ST:
- Analyze and assess customer’s unmet needs and identify alternative revenue streams.
- Assess current commercial relationships/partnerships/alliances and identify and monitor future requirements and opportunities to support existing and new revenue streams.
- Identify and develop actionable plans that drives incremental value through cross-business synergies.
- Evaluate business initiatives developed by lines of business against the overall ST strategic plans.
- Prepare and submit business case and recommendations for strategic initiatives to the Global ST Leader.
- Responsible for developing and providing key inputs to the global ST business leaders for development of strategic plans and growth strategies:
- Prioritization of capital investment planning across ST.
- Strategic business initiatives, including M&A and market adjacencies across ST.
- Align resource allocation and strategic growth opportunities across ST.
- Accountable for ensuring sound value propositions for our offerings, translating the value propositions into selling/demand creation tools, and working with regions to translate into execution.
- Collaborate across E&I and corporate on growth initiatives.
- Overseeing customer collaboration/engagement model initiatives across strategic ST customers.
- Accountable for defining, prioritizing, and managing spend of global marketing budget, however each budget will be owned by the business.
- Oversight and management of IBP across ST.
- Provides guidance to the business for pricing excellence and analytics.
- Define and develop a talent management strategy across the ST marketing organization.
- Establish and roll-out marketing excellence training and coaching program that leverages industry and enterprise best practices targeting high-impact and high-risk areas.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Technical / Scientific field
- Secondary degree preferred
- Significant experience demonstrated, effective performance in a marketing and/or sales and product development role
- Experience with a diverse customer base and a variety of route-to-market models
- Experience in managing a team across multiple locations/regions
- Technical foundation and relevant industry experience
