NIE invites applications for the position of Project Officer to support the project ‘Building A Teacher Observation Optimisation Platform with AI to Assess Teachers’ Motivational Behaviour in the Classroom’. This is a 1-year contract position.
Responsibilities
- To ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the project.
- Video recording of classroom teaching.
- Responsible for conducting qualitative data analysis.
- Tagging and coding the videos in the AI prototype.
- Train the AI prototype to assess teachers’ motivated behaviour in the classroom.
- Conduct literature searches and write reports.
- Assist the Principal Investigator with other administrative and secretarial duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A University degree in psychology-related areas. Candidates with teaching qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with Singapore school system and ability to work with teachers in schools.
- Ability to conduct and write-up literature reviews and reports.
- Prior exposure to AI technology and good understanding of AI algorithms.
- Meticulous with good organizational skills, especially in managing research data.
- Strong written and communication skills in English.
- Strong collaborative skills and a team player.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
