What will you do?
• Lead and contribute to the development of client sustainability/energy/resource management strategies including facilitating executive/elected official level presentations and the analysis and benchmarking of performance to support organizational goal setting and implementation planning
• Lead generation: develop new business relationship and maintain existing ones in C-level / end market
• Pitching & winning: drive pitching process and deal closing for case work - prepare pitching materials, serve as single point of contact, contract drafting, project staffing, etc.
• Project management: lead a team of consultants to advise clients on their climate strategy - from carbon baselining and onsite audits, external benchmark studies, to goal setting and roadmap planning - be the key interface with clients during case work, provide project oversight (synthesize recommendations, challenge work in progress, and re-orient analyses as necessary to drive client value), and manage project budgets
• Follow Through: work closely with other SE LoBs and local operations to follow through the deployment and implementation of solutions
• Pull-though: collaborate with teams across the globe to leverage our expertise and facilitate pull through opportunities for all Schneider Electric lines of businesses (LoBs)
• People development: coach and inspire junior team members to develop their consulting and client communication skills, creating opportunities for team members to learn and grow
• Knowledge management: contribute to Sustainability knowledge management by working closely with the Knowledge Management team to identify knowledge gaps and develop new methodologies, tools and assets
What qualifications will make you successful?
• Master degree in mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering.
• 8+ years of experience conducting ASHRAE level energy audits, energy modelling & acting as a sustainability consultant for clients.
• Strong understanding of building systems across disciplines and proven experience in industrial process.
• Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the application and deployment of the following offers:
o Industrial process optimization
o Measurement and Verification (IPMVP certified preferred),
o Solar, Battery Storage and EV charging solutions
o Chillers, Boilers and HVAC Controls.
o Understanding of high performance and zero carbon building / industry principles and technologies.
• Analytical and Conceptual thinking: able to conceptualize business problems, understand and shape customers' needs, and drive frameworks for analysis that consultants can then follow
• Client Relationship Management: A solid track record of developing strong client relationships with C-levels of large organizations
• Engagement Management and Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage engagements, client relationships, provide strategic directions to teams, and ultimately be responsible for the quality of engagements.
• Personnel Development: demonstrated ability to guide junior members in their consulting skill sets, motivate them, and build the consulting team's foundation for future growth (both formal and adhoc settings)
