Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller in preparation of Periodic Management Reports, Forecast and Budgeting while performing below tasks independently,
- Conduct periodic data quality assessments to ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability of Operational Cost and Revenue reported.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders and initiate corrective measures on the deviations identified.
- Monitor and update Standard Costs time to time to reduce variance with Actuals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, systems and data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Identify/Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of relevant departments and report to Management.
- Ad-hoc reporting and Analysis requirements of Management.
- Use data analytical tools and techniques to extract & transform data for business needs/development.
- Assist in Reconciliation of Management Reports with Financials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Business Analyst in the Maritime or Shipping industry, with a deep understanding of maritime Trade, Operations, Logistics and industry terminology.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques: experience in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the Organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach in identifying issues and proposing innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and evolving maritime environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional language capacity is a plus.
