Head of Product / Product Management Lead

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s overall mission and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the product management team, including product managers and other related roles, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other executive team members to set company-wide goals and priorities, translating them into actionable product plans.

Hands-On Product Management:

  • Act as a hands-on product manager for high-priority or complex projects, particularly in cases where additional leadership or direct involvement is required.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process for specific initiatives, including defining requirements, working closely with engineering, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to gather detailed feedback and insights that inform product decisions and enhancements.

Product Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the development and management of the product portfolio, ensuring that each product meets its objectives and contributes to the company’s growth.
  • Drive product innovation by identifying new market opportunities and leveraging emerging technologies.
  • Ensure the effective prioritization of product initiatives, balancing short-term wins with long-term strategic goals.

Market & Customer Insights:

  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to understand industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs.
  • Leverage customer insights to inform product development and ensure that products solve real customer problems.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and partners to gather feedback and validate product strategies.

Go-to-Market (GTM) & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to develop and execute successful go-to-market strategies for new product launches and updates.
  • Ensure that all teams are aligned on product messaging, positioning, and value propositions.
  • Support the sales team with strategic guidance, customer engagement, and by providing the necessary tools and training to drive product adoption.

Performance & Growth:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each product, using data to drive decisions and optimize performance.
  • Continuously evaluate product success and profitability, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Present product performance updates and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.

Team Development & Leadership:

  • Build and develop a high-performing product management team by attracting top talent, providing ongoing coaching, and supporting professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued and innovation thrives.
  • Encourage a customer-centric mindset throughout the product management team, ensuring that all decisions are grounded in delivering value to customers.
