Our Head of Admissions holds oversight for all aspects of the admissions process, and for ensuring that the school’s admissions policy is implemented. The successful candidate will have an international outlook and an appreciation for the impact the admissions team can have in the School and on the staff at the School. This person will be quick to learn about the organization and begin to interact with various key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the school’s admissions policy is applied at all times.
  • Be responsible for training, directing and evaluating Admissions Department staff
  • Develop and oversee all systems regarding how the Admissions Department responds to new student inquiries, with the goal of cultivating positive relationships with families.
  • Manage all aspects of the school’s admissions software, ensuring that staff in the Admissions Department are appropriately trained
  • Provide regular admissions reports to the Director of AMC as and when required
  • Manage the school’s relationship with GL Assessments, ensuring that we always have appropriate numbers of tests and that our account is up to date.
  • Oversee the entire admissions process, from first inquiry to student assimilation, , and those leads arising from promotional events arranged by the Head of Marketing and Communications (coffee mornings etc)
  • Manage and oversee the entire process related to applications for student passes or applications that require MOE approval
  • Maintain appropriate admission data and analyse and evaluate to constantly monitor the effectiveness of our admissions process.
  • Work with working parties that may be set up to establish recruitment strategies to attract and retain appropriate families.
  • Provide advice and input to the Head of Marketing and Head of Communications to assist in them developing marketing tools, events and advertising campaigns
  • Take responsibility for the administration of the financial aid programme, including receiving requests, preparing cases, and presenting cases to the Director of AMC and the Principal.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the school’s relationships with student recruitment agents. Including orientation and ongoing training of agents.
  • Monitor and evaluate student recruitment agent performance, providing recommendations for the renewal or termination of contracts to the Director of AMC
  • Oversee the process of working with the Senior Team to schedule interviews for prospective families.
  • Oversee our provision of campus tours – both individual and group.
  • Take responsibility for the production of all correspondence pertaining to the admissions process.
  • Educate and enlist faculty and staff to assist where needed in the admission process.
  • Establish, maintain and evaluate appropriate systems to facilitate family visits, student testing, and interviewing.
  • Keep appropriate records and statistics throughout the enrollment process.
  • Oversee necessary submission of data to the EDB, MoE, or other Government agency
  • In conjunction with the Vice-Principal (Pastoral) and Vice-Principal (Head of Junior School), develop tools and programs to assist in new student and parent induction.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional events and activities when requested.
  • Ensure that Student Contracts are accurate and up to date, and oversee the signing of contracts for all new students
  • Oversee and lead the processes regarding the annual signing of Student Contracts
  • Ensure that student and parent data is accurately uploaded into ISAMS. Assist with the updating of data at appropriate times.

Safeguarding

  • Abide by the school safeguarding policy and keep abreast of any changes

Qualifications/Skills

  • Degree holder and above in a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' of relevant industry experience and
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional leadership qualities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Embodies integrity, with the ability to deal with confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
  • Able to inspire and lead team members from diverse backgrounds
