Core responsibilities:
. Implement and maintain the Company’s Integrated Management System
. Award contracts to suppliers in a timely manner
· Preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities for early or timely submissions
· Responsible for timely and completeness of taking off measurement
· Conduct contract negotiations during the course of the project in order to ensure issues are resolved
· Monitor project costs to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved in accordance to building contract law
· Responsible for cost control & planning and procurement advice
· Preparation of payment certificates
· Review the suppliers’ quotations for completeness and prepare comparison for Director’s approval
· Assist site-in-charge to prepare project budget including monitoring on regular basis
· Preparation of quotations and progress claims to clients
· Preparation of work orders to suppliers
· Preparation of tender/quotation reports
· Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
· Attend site show rounds / visits / meetings
· Final project final account
· Other senior quantity surveying duties assigned
Skills and Knowledge required:
- Bilingual English/Chinese as you will be liaising with English & Chinese speaking clients & suppliers
- Understanding of construction contracts under Singapore Institute of Architects Articles and Conditions of Building Contract (“SIA Conditions”) and Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (“PSSCOC”)
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office
