About Our Client
Our client is a lifestyle company with a growing presence across the region spanning across F&B, real estate, hospitality and entertainment. In view of the continuous growth, we are looking an Accountant to join the developing team.
Job Description
- Oversee month-end closing, financial reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and performance analysis
- Review and analyze monthly management accounts prepared by outsourced accounting firms
- Prepare financial and management reports, balance sheets, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
- Review and consolidate monthly hotel management accounts
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring accurate reconciliation and compliance with relevant legislation
- Collaborate with outsourced firms, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory bodies on financial matters
- Manage regulatory activities, including annual audits and adherence to industry regulations
- Oversee cash management, maintaining bank balances and ensuring operational financial needs are met
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements and filing deadlines
- Prepare cash flow projections and support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage budgets and cash flow for specific projects
- Prepare loan covenant calculations and reports for banks
- Mentor and guide Accounts Executives, ensuring adherence to standard procedures
- Assist in implementing new processes and accounting systems as needed
- Support the setup of entities for asset and business acquisitions
- Undertake ad hoc assignments as required
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 4 years of audit or accounting experience
- Prior experience in the real estate industry is an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
