CareLibrary provides person-centered care for senior adults with/is at risk of cognitive impairment through non-pharmacological methods. In a vibrant, safe and supportive environment, our trained dementia care staff strives to maintain cognitive wellness and slow down cognitive decline of our clients through multi- sensory stimulating activities, with the aim of retaining their functional abilities and social engagement within the community.
Job Description:
• Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with clients, caregivers, volunteers and the community
• Facilitating cognitive activities for the dementia participants
• Handling and managing the participants with the duty of care, exhibit the spirit of team player to ensure that cohesive work relationships for the best interest for our participants
• Ensuring the safety and quality aspects of care delivery
• Assisting in sourcing and creation of cognitive activities to improve and refresh resources/activities used
• Performing general operations and administration necessary for the daily operation at the centre
• Assisting in volunteer management and conduct orientation program
• Performing any ad-hoc duties assigned by Supervisor
Requirements:
• Experience in geriatric services and program execution for dementia clients
• Relevant education in mental health, social work or related field study in gerontology
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate with clients who are English and Mandarin speaking
• A team player who is able to work cohesively with the department and an individual who have a passion and desire to work with the dementia clients
