Key responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with senior executive HR stakeholders and business leaders providing strategic talent and development consultancy with a strong enterprise mindset
- Expertly manage core processes (performance management, MD promotions, engagement survey, talent and succession planning, manager 360, Key Stakeholder Review process, nominations to programs etc) with an operational excellence mindset. Influence across HR to ensure processes are globally aligned and meet regional requirements.
- Develop strong partnerships with regional HR Executives, Regional HR Generalists and Global Talent team mates to ensure Talent programs and processes are aligned to global and regional priorities
- Develop strong partnerships with global core process teams, enterprise development teams and global talent teams internationally
- Identifies and diagnoses opportunities for consulting conversations and focuses on data analytics to influence & drive business and people priorities
- Drive and expertly manage large scale enterprise projects in partnership with internal subject matter experts and/or external consultants including organizational health initiatives, change management, diversity and inclusion, culture improvement initiatives, high potential and female talent programmes, employee engagement strategies, wellness, manager and leader effectiveness programs, and other organisational development solutions. Ensuring all are globally aligned.
- Measure and report on the impact of specified interventions globally
- Facilitate key manager, leadership and wellness programs
- Manage internal coaching and mentoring practice
- As a member of the APAC Talent leadership team, contribute to and drive the direction of the function by demonstrating a keen sense of collective ownership for the team’s success
- As a senior member of the Talent team, provide coaching, mentoring and development support as needed
- Uphold the Bank’s risk management framework by ensuring that relevant risks are identified, debated, escalated and managed as appropriate
Key requirements
- Project management qualifications and experience
- Operational excellence mindset with high attention to detail. Ability to have a strategic view and be across all elements of a process interchangeably
- Ability to connect associated messages to business outcomes
- Significant experience of designing, implementing, and managing change programmes (Culture, people, processes, systems related) leadership & learning programmes, organisational design and development and employee engagement
- Strategic perspective and thought leadership in a broad range of talent management, leadership & learning development
- Experience in operating and delivering in a complex, fast paced, global financial services firm (or equivalent) with multiple stakeholders
- Background in Talent and Development or consultancy, with experience of the consultancy cycle, with an ability to effectively engage and deliver through others
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills and a results oriented mindset and comfortable with operating in the grey, navigating ambiguity
- Exceptional ability to influence senior executive stakeholders, flexing style and approach as required in a range of complex situations
- Tenacious, solutions focused, positive and resilient with the ability to overcome obstacles and challenges and remain agile to changing business needs and priorities
- Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with multiple senior stakeholders in Lines of Business and Global HR in a heavily matrixed environment across multiple time zones
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to positively influence a diverse group and provide clarity in complex and time sensitive situations
