HR Executive (Compensation and Benefits)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute regular and off-cycle payroll processing activities, including simulating payroll runs, reviewing the results of simulated payroll runs to identify and rectify errors and data discrepancies, and preparing payroll summary and variance reports.
  • Process payroll payments made outside the primary payment method (e.g., cheque, giro payment, etc.).
  • Ensure that all payments comply with regulatory guidelines and meet strict deadlines.
  • Prepare final payroll journal entries for the general ledger and generate employee payslips.
  • Oversee all tax submissions (including IR21, IR8A, withholding tax, etc.) and ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate all payroll claims to ensure submission by established deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations related to CPF, taxation, workforce levies, and other payroll components.
  • Responsible for the timely e-filing of NSmen make-up pay, maternity, childcare, extended childcare, and paternity claims.
  • Track employee benefits (e.g., medical/insurance claims, long-term illness leave, transportation, staff purchases, health screenings, etc.).
  • Manage leave administration, including leave calculations, approval assignments, and, year-end closing
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits-related matters.
  • Maintain and update the staff database to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.


Summary of Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in related HR fields.
  • Diploma or a Degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Knowledge of relevant government legislation, including the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Passes) Regulations, Employment Practices, Compliance and enforcement of CPF contributions, Industrial Relations Act (IRA), Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) in Singapore
  • Ability to manage outsourced payroll vendors effectively.
  • Experience in payroll shared services and familiarity with Orisoft will be advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, meticulousness, prioritization skills, and confidentiality management, along with being a good team player.
  • Excellent communication and written skills, capable of interacting with all levels of employees.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure.
