JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the various tests applied to products for optimum test coverage in meeting customer & product specifications. Performs top defects failure analysis, test yield improvement, 1st article approvals, ECN changes, calibration of equipment and maintenance/updating of test procedure documentation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish testing strategies, flow and procedures to ensure smooth, effective and efficient running of production.
• Perform test capacity planning to ensure testers' capacities are maximized and sufficient.
• Constantly improve test yield via CIP/RMA activities.
• Generate, update, review and maintain the Venture Standard Operating Procedure.
• Lead a group of Test Engineering Assistants / Technicians & ensure compliance to quality standards, company guidelines and procedures, to whilst providing necessary support to production.
• Validate and maintain test equipment in good condition and maintain a master list of test equipment in the production to ensure the most current revisions are implemented on the line.
• Review and evaluate 1st article samples before submitting to customers (if applicable).
• Participate in product transfer activities & NPI support.
• Generate and validate test reports prior to publication.
• Maintain minimum debug WIP through test yield improvements & resource management.
• Liaise with customers on product related issues for improvements - NPI and existing products.
• Constantly looking into better test efficiencies and better test coverage to achieve 1st class quality at minimum cost.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.
• Participate in cost Saving measures and LEAN initiative.
AUTHORITY
• Participate in MRB disposition of parts and problem solving.
• Recommend test equipment, test fixtures and improve test program to ensure products meet the required quality and achieve high efficiencies. Implement changes according to ECN.
• Remove measuring/test equipment from production line that are out of calibration.
• Review calibration report prior to release or for necessary disposition if deemed unfit for use .
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or its equivalent preferred, with 2-3 years relevant experience in a highly competitive product manufacturing environment.
