We are representing our MNC client in search of Supplier Quality Engineer
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Supplier Part Qualification Process to ensure that the supplier’s delivery quality aligns with the established processes.
- Manage complaint resolution including initial failure analysis, coordinating containment and disposition with the supplier, arranging Return to Vendor, tracking 8D corrective actions, and handling repair order deliveries.
- Conduct audits at supplier sites for NPI pilot production process qualification and monitor 8D implementation.
- Perform FAI at supplier locations to verify that the supplier's measurement equipment is adequate and that technicians possess the necessary skill sets.
- Develop and implement inspection plans and instructions for incoming parts inspections.
- Serve as an ISO8015 expert, providing GD&T training to suppliers.
- Manage calibration processes, ensure timely equipment calibration and advance planning for measurement tools needed for NPI components.
- Oversee the Material Review Board management process.
- Develop CMM programs and provide training to engineers and technicians across other sites.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in engineering or its equivalent.
- Experience in one or more processes, such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, plastics, or molding.
- Proficient in advanced GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Skilled in auditing with the ability to assess processes and ensure compliance.
- Knowledgeable in tool calibration, including the calibration of simple tools and familiarity with calibration standards.
- Strong metrology skills, with hands-on experience in operating CMM and Smart Scope equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
