Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimations for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Identify and analyze cost variations, discrepancies, and potential risks, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost control and project profitability.
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, final accounts, and variation orders as per contract requirements.
- Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide cost advice and support to assist in decision-making processes during project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field; professional certification is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant regulations.
- Familiarity with building codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
