The main objective of the department is to assist the CRO’s Office to accomplish its missions by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes of MC Branch offices and subsidiaries in the Asia-Oceania region.

In doing so, you are expected to conduct audits in accordance with Mitsubishi Corporation (MC)’s Internal Audit Regulation and The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards for MC branch offices and subsidiaries in Asia-Oceania region, as well as providing recommendations to the auditee for the improvement of their management. The roles include but not limited to the followings:

· Conduct audit assignments in line with the annual Internal Audit plan and within the budgeted time in a professional manner, adopting the best audit practices and appropriate audit procedures.

· Draft recommendations for improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

· Prepare audit working paper and audit report.

· Evaluate and ensure follow-up plan is prepared by each MC branch office and subsidiary with appropriate and timely counter measures, ensure follow-up action is taken by auditee and that the required changes have been implemented and function accordingly.

· Provides findings to the personnel in-charge of the Internal Audit assignment for further action.

· Maintains records of audit reports, evidence and other appropriate documents accordingly.

· Understand company’s rules including MC’s and government regulations and keep up with up-to-date expertise.

· Guide and train other relevant employees.

· Performs other responsibilities, special assignments and tasks as directed by Department Head of the Internal Audit Department.

Job Requirements

· Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent

· High proficiency in Japanese and English (listening, speaking and writing) to communicate effectively through phone calls, video conference, emails and/or meetings with Tokyo HQ, Mitsubishi Corporation’s group companies and/or local and/or Japanese staff.

· Willing to travel for overseas business trips when required

· Professional certification in CPA/CIA etc. preferred

Purpose of the job

A brief summary of your job responsibility:

• Develop and customise audit programmes/security audit checklists to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls in mitigating IT risks.
• Lead, plan, develop and conduct annual policy compliance and process audits, and technical audits on critical systems and infrastructure.
• Manage agency interactions, including briefings, conduct of audit fieldwork, management responses, and follow-up actions to ensure on-time and on-target execution of audit plans.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• With at least 6 years of working experience with a solid record in IT Audit
• Prior experiences in leading an end-to-end IT Audit.
• Strong security background (understanding risk assessment, legal & regulatory requirements, threats, vulnerabilities, security policies etc.)
• Experience in performing audits for compliance with COBIT framework and ITIL practices.
• Familiarity with IM8 or equivalent ICT policies is plus
• Performed security assessments benchmarked against common security standards such as NIST 800-53 or ISO 27001
• Prior experience in Application Development and Cloud are preferred but not mandatory
• Good communication & interpersonal skills.

• Maintain the annual Division 5-year rolling Health Check Plan.
• Procure and managed services of consultants and independent auditors & augmented resources to augment internal capability to deliver committed deliverables under the Division's 5-year rolling Health Check Plan and other GIG initiatives.
• Facilitate audits conducted by auditors from Auditor General’s Office, WOG ICT Governance Group, Internal Auditor Dept, etc, by managing auditor-auditee interactions during audit fieldwork, and for management responses, audit finding validation and closure.
• Participate in the conduct of health checks and reviews to assess status of adoption of and compliance with policies and standards, to identify non-compliance gaps, to recommend remediation follow-ups, to validate remediated actions and to close the findings.
• Conduct pre-audit compliance health checks on large-scale, complex system high/medium risk areas to establish the status of adoption of and compliance with policies and standards, for regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain the Audit Dashboard for tracking of all health checks and audit findings to ensure timely completion, validation and closure for regular reporting to stakeholders.

• Minimum of 10 years of ICT experience, with experience in managing projects (full software or product development life cycle) and had participated in or facilitated IT system audit exercises; and
• Held supervisory position previously and led a team size of at least 3 staff.
• Professional certifications such as CISA is an advantage.
• Good understanding of IT management processes, technology risks and internal controls, and standards such as ISO9001.
