What you will do:

Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of BU/SUs - risk, product and processes regionally.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls and develop appropriate tests to be conducted and ascertain the level of testing of controls required.
• Escalate issues appropriately and timely.
• Ensure concise and clear audit findings and reports are presented on a timely basis.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification, with at least 4-6 years’ relevant experience in the internal audit of financial services industry, preferably with relevant experience in consumer banking, wealth management and/or legal & compliance functions
• Self-motivated and demonstrates the initiative & ability to work independently and effectively with multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), i.e., able to articulate key messages effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and team mates.
• Proven robust analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

o Preparation of:

• Management accounts, consolidated accounts and statutory financial statements for client companies
• Monthly payrolls (including CPF submissions), annual Forms IR8A/IR8E and ad-hoc Forms IR21 for clients’ personnel
• Quarterly GST returns and relevant schedules for client companies
• Quarterly and yearly Forms for submission to the Monetary Authority of Singapore

o Ensure timely submission of deliverables to clients

Job Description (For External Audit Department)

• Lead various sizes of audit engagements which include planning, executing risk based financial and operational audits and finalising all areas of the audit engagements.
• Review for completeness and adequacy, the audit working papers prepared by junior members within the engagement team.
• Identify and discuss accounting, auditing and or other reporting issues with supervisor, manager and/or partner.
• Proactively interact with clients to gather information, resolve problems, make recommendations for business and process improvements and manages their expectations to further nurture on-going client relationship.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 2 years or above of external audit working experience (accounting or audit firm preferable) is required for this position.
