The role

We are looking for a passionate and proactive Creative Studio Intern to join our Styling and Production teams. Main responsibilities

- Able to instruct a class confidently and communicate well to both children and parents. It is crucial to develop and nurture positive and good relationships with children and parents (some who may be demanding)

- Art graduates from SOTA, NAFA and other art schools are welcome, or someone with an extensive art portfolio

- Have a good art portfolio

- Able to work independently

- Off days are Monday and Tuesday only with key working days on Saturday and Sunday

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, successful applicant will be the subject matter expert in switching mode power supply design and solution. The incumbent will be involved in solutioning and switching mode power supply development activities such as electrical circuit design, magnetic design, prototyping, evaluation and assisting manufacturing in BETA run of the new product. 

Responsibilities

• Design new platform solution for power supply & power system products within XP standard design practice, safety guidelines and in timely manner to meet the product spec, modify existing designs, improve existing products for better performance and /or cost.
• Lead project planning to identify critical path(s) and provide direction to mitigate risk.
• To perform tests and experiments as needed to support or confirm the design with written report. For both the new product design and legacy product failure analysis
• Reviews product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company procedures, safety, and other agency requirements
• Perform product verification & validation test such as electrical performance, thermal, EMC and DVT to ensure product meet specification before delivered to internal/external customer.
• Bill of materials (BOM) creation and documentation.
• Breadboard and prototype samples making and debugging.
• Provide technical support to factory on design related issue.
• Provide coaching and guidance to engineers and technicians in evaluation and design.
• There will be some travelling required in conjunction with customer and manufacturing support as well as outside training.
• Provides technical direction to the team.

The Solution Architect is to support the Sales team in terms of all pre-sale activities and customer engagement. He/she should be engaged with potential customers to understand their needs and drive the solution and services estimate, work closely with the Sales team to prepare the proposal and presentation to the customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for customers’ solution needs.
• Work closely with the sales team to design the solution that will resolve and meet the customers’ requirements.
• Prepare and document the finding after engaging the customers on their requirements and share these documents internally with other departments to finalise the solution and services design and efforts needed to deliver the solution.
• Prepare the proposed efforts of the overall deliverables after discussing internally and work with the Sales team to incorporate all this information in the proposal to be sent to customers.
• Work closely with the Sales team to answer customers’ inquiries on the solution proposed as well as engage customers to convince them of the solution proposed.
• Work closely with the Sales team to assist them in closing the business proposal with the customers.
• Work closely with the Project and Managed Services team on all project deliverables and scope after the customer has signed the acceptance of our proposal.
• Hand over the details of scope and deliverables including specification of infrastructure and software to the Project and Management Services team.
• Continue to support the Project and Management Services team on project delivery for any queries related to the initial proposed solution.
• Assist Marketing and Sales team in preparation of all marketing campaigns on solution, and prepare the material and present in any marketing event.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role
• Previous project management experience is advantageous
• Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases
• Efficient communication skills
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is preferred
