Responsibilities

- Architect and develop efficient, highly scalable and secured services for machine learning system

- Optimise backend systems and services for machine learning system, computational efficiency and scalability;

- Analyse business and technical requirements carefully to solve challenging problems

- Participate in design reviews and code reviews

- Collaborate with fellow engineers, product managers, and business owners in the team to ensure timely delivery of business requirements

- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.

- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.

- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

- Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

- Strong software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style;

- Familiarity with at least one of the programming languages: Go, Python, Java or C++;

- Pragmatic understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, distributed system, and highly scalable systems design.

Preferred Qualifications

- Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver.

- Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building distributed system.

- Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.

As a Principal Data Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that align with our business needs.

You will play a pivotal role in our data-driven decision-making process, leveraging your skills in data science, data engineering, and data products to provide comprehensive solutions.

The ideal candidate will have an international background or work experience, coupled with a profound understanding of the internet industry, specifically in areas such as user growth, live operations, recommendation systems, or commercialization.

What you'll do:

- Design and implement end-to-end data solutions, from data processing and analytics to visualization.

- Develop and implement techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualisation software

- Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and develop solutions accordingly.

- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality, accessibility and security.

- Apply data mining, data modelling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyse information from large structured and unstructured datasets to support decision-making processes.

- Design and implement data solutions within the context of the internet industry, specifically in areas such as user growth, live operations, recommendation systems, or commercialization.

- Visualise, interpret, and report data findings and may create dynamic data reports as well.

Qualifications

- Bachelor or Masters degree in Statistics, Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

- At least 5 years of industrial experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Product Manager, Data Solution Consultant or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.

- Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, etc.

- Experience with data engineering tools and platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to translate business needs into data solutions.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
