Job Requirements

• At least Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Building/Construction/Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experiences in local construction industry

Job Responsibilities

• Collect tender documents and check for completeness.
• Study and review the tender documents, which include specifications, drawings, commercial requirements and technical requirements.
• To co-ordinate with the relevant departments on commercial items e.g. insurance cover etc.
• To co-ordinate and obtain technical information in order to do cost estimates.
• Where required, to carry out material take-off including man-hours estimates; obtaining material / equipment prices from both local and oversee vendors; obtaining quotes on services ad subcontracting works.
• To attend site visits and clarification meetings with the customer.
• Compilation of quotations, comparison of quotes, review of prices, selection of competitive prices and summarising subcontracts, materials and equipment.
• Estimation of indirect costs e.g. staffs, site establishment and other miscellaneous costs.
• To compile unit rates, construction equipment rates and other cost information required for the bid.
• To assist in preparation of tender summary for management review.
• Checking of proposal against tender requirements.
• To prepare supporting information for the management during tender negotiation stage.
• To assist in working out quantities for tender, project variations and progress claims.
• To assist the Project Managers in working out quantities for variations and progress claims.
• To prepare the post-contract transfer of documents.
• To prepare subcontract documents.
• Other duties as assigned by the Departmental Manager.

Job Requirements

• At least Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Building/Construction/Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Residential Construction industry.

• To study contract documents - technical specification require, ensure fully understand on the scope of work in Form of Tender. Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
• Participate in site show-rounds, carry out site measurements and prepare Bill of Quantities
• Sourcing quotation, analyzing and evaluating for tender costing.
• Coordicate with manager and director for tender price input
• Preparation of progress payment claims variation order claims including all final accounts to client.
• Preparation for LOA to Subcontractor / Supplier for all the new awarded job
• To review and verify the Subcontractor’s / Supplier’s claims and prepare payment certificates
• Coordinate with Suppliers for their material specs and technical drawings for PM's submission.
• Prepare Deed of warranties for all related works in the contract.
• Any other job scope assigned.

• Good interpersonal and communication skill

· Be responsible in quantity take off, preparation of Bill of Quantities (BQ), tender and contracts preparation, cost activities, process progress claims, payments and preparation of final accounts.

· Administer to ensure completeness and timely submission of tender bids and quotations.

· To manage & co-ordinate with clients to ensure strict deadlines are met & comprehensively done.

· Responsible for all pre and post project contracts administration for Clients and Sub-Contractors, including not limited: preparation of interim valuations and pricing, prepare payment certificates and keep track of variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability.

· Work closely with our Operations Team to identify and evaluate progress work done, any work variations for both subcontract and main contract works.

· Liaise and coordinate with Clients’ and Sub-Contractors’ Professionals, Technical and/or Site Team on site documentation, shop drawings for submission and approval.

· Liaise with Project Manager to establish and understand the project specification and requirements

· Provide Project budgeting and costing reports. Track changes in design/construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.

· Good knowledge in construction works, Conditions of Contract, Forms of Contract, construction laws and requirements.

· Provide all relevant information to the Managing Director and Management Team for their reviews and follow-up on any tasks required by them.

· Assist the Project Team, Management and/or the Managing Director in contractual and cost related issues, and a range of other duties as and when required.

· Be responsible in maintain proper documentation for easy retrieval.

· Any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.

• Participate in site show-rounds, measurement of quantities for tendering items and provide cost estimation by assessing bill of quantities on site and or tender documents etc
• Obtain quotations and price quotation with contracts and vendors
• Selection, measuring and reviewing performance of vendors.
• Assist in contract negotiation, manage the supplier database
• Main point of contact for liasion between internal team, client and contractors
• coordinate project activities for timely completions
• Work with Project Manager in change order management, project tracking and document-controlled activities.
• Coordinate with management in developing project scope, plan, deliverables, budget and milestones

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Quantity Surveyor.
