RESPONSIBILITIES

The officer contributes actively to the programme needs of the Special Student Care Centre under the umbrella of Community-Based Support Services (CSS).

• Provide routine ADL (activities of daily living) caregiving to students.
• Provide supervision and guidance to students.
• Guide students in the development of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills.
• Follow regulations regarding basic health, hygiene, and safety.

• Minimum N/O Levels/ITE/Diploma

3 days work week (Mon, Wed, Fri)

Working hours:

1. 7.30 am to 3.30 pm OR
2. 10.30 am to 6.30 pm

We have worked with many government and private organizations, and we are seeking several enthusiastic and animal loving individuals to fill this new role of an Animal Care Officer.

The Animal Care Officer will be handling husbandry care for supervised animals at one of the various animal care sites within Singapore based on a roster rotation. Transport will be provided to the respective sites from Choa Chu Kang MRT.

Your role includes but are not limited to:

• Distribute food under supervision and according to animal dietary requirements.
• Handle, restrain and move animals.
• Provide basic animal care (e.g. showering, nail trimming, ear cleaning)
• General Housekeeping (e.g. moving and arranging supplies) and related work.

Our Requirements:

• At least an 'O' Level qualification or equivalent.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Completed handling course conducted by an accredited or approved training provider will be an added advantage.
• At least 1-year work experience or equivalent in animal husbandry/handling and care.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster basis.
• Those with the following vaccinations will be a bonus:

- Rabies and Tetanus

- Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Influenza

About Agora Colearning

Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Student Care Teacher to join us as we look to build the future of student care at Agora Colearning.

Responsibilities

• Implement class programmes in accordance with our pedagogical framework, including conducting the Agora Student Care enrichment programme, encompassing Learn to Learn, Life Skills and Physical Activity.
• Supervise primary school children in preparing for, initiating, and completing their daily homework, with focus on the Mandarin subject.
• Observe and track evidence of children's academic and holistic development using educational tools provided by Agora Colearning, and contribute to reporting progress to parents.
• Prepare, rearrange, and upkeep teaching resources and learning environment.
• Ensure safety and security at all times, taking active initiative to identify and mitigate risks.
• Model positive behaviour to ensure compliance and discipline.
• Ensure smooth transfer of student custody between the parties (parents/guardians, drivers), quick checking-in and out of the Agora centre.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification. Diploma in Care and Programme (Student Services & Coaching) or WSQ Student Care Programme is an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant teaching experience
• Ability to understand the primary school curricular content and supervise homework completion (accuracy and academic support are not expected, but minimum understanding is important)
• Great communication and classroom management skills
• Creative, enthusiastic, and energetic, with a positive mindset to learn and grow

Working days/hours

• School term: Monday to Friday 11:00 am - 8:00 pm (Inclusive of 1 hour's lunch break)
• School holidays and ad-hoc school closure days: Monday to Friday 9-hours shifts between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm)
• Part-time Working Arrangement can also be arranged.

• Provide guidance and supervision for primary school children on the completion of daily school homework and spelling.
• Assist to handle routine of the children and ensure their holistic wellbeing.
• Send and bring back students to & from nearest primary school.
• Ensure classroom discipline and safety under your care.
• Passionate to guide and coach students.
• Assist with other administrative tasks
• Able to work on weekdays from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
• Able to start work immediately.
