Key Qualifications / Requirements:

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline

• Experience in troubleshooting and managing Win7, Office, MS outlook, MS Active Directory, Mac OS, VDI client, Smart phone iOS / Android, basic networking, POS, Scanner, printer and other attached peripherals.

We are looking for a dedicated Service Technician/ Engineer (Marine) to be responsible for repair and maintenance of ship Navigation, Communication, Satcom, VSAT/TVRO, PAGA/PABX and GMDSS system. Reporting to the Head of Marine Electronics, and working closely with our business partners, he/she will be involved in the installation and testing of navigation and communications equipment on shipping vessels.

Responsibilities

• Involve in project for installation of marine electronics equipment.

• Brief business partners on various navigational/communication system setup.

Responsibilities:

i) On-Site Technical Support

• Arrange for on-site service visit, install, repair, troubleshooting, and re-location
• Set up and dismantle equipment for demonstrations
• Conduct equipment familiarization training for users
• Answer service enquiries
• Attend end user’s meetings
• Install and commission new equipment at customer’s sites

ii) Service administration

• Prepare service quotations, contracts, report, and invoice
• Arrange spare parts from suppliers
• Send / deliver repair item and spare parts
• Collect equipment for in house repairs
• Deliver new equipment to customers
• Assist to follow up on outstanding payments
• Send faulty parts to vendors for checking and testing
• Furnish technical information and quality report to Brand Principal

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Engineering related field
• 1 year of related work experience as field service engineer is preferred
• Candidates with Class 3 Driving Licence will be an added advantage

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

· To upkeep and perform Preventative Maintenance of security and parking equipment, and day-today troubleshooting and corrective maintenance at various car park sites.
· Promptly submit and write Service Reports and Maintenance Checklists after each session to ensure the next team can follow-up on next-steps in a timely manner.
· Assist in resolving technical issues with customers, contractors and vendors.
· Able to provide necessary training to teammates and end-users.
· Assist in project implementation and enhancement work of security and car park systems including installation and commissioning.
· Work closely with the Technical Support and Customer Support team both onsite and remotely.
· Assist with stock management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Professional Certificate in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or any related field.
· Possess good communication and presentation skills with good command of English.
· At least 1-2 years of working experience in car park or security field preferred.
· Experience dealing with CCTV, network access and other security devices will be advantageous. Able to work well in a team.
· Valid Class 2 or 3 Driving License required.
Willing to work on rotational standby duties
