Responsibilities

• Conduct research, co-develop storylines and identify potential loan objects for the upcoming refresh of SCCC’s permanent exhibition as well as SCCC’s special exhibitions and travelling exhibitions.
• Work with researchers to conceptualise and develop storylines for exhibition topics related to Chinese culture and the Chinese community in Singapore.
• Engage with key stakeholders, experts and academics in the course of developing the abovementioned storylines.
• Liaise with potential lenders for the loan of objects for SCCC’s permanent exhibition and special exhibitions.
• Work closely with a team of professionals including exhibition designers, conservators and technicians for SCCC’s permanent exhibition, special exhibitions and travelling exhibitions.
• Conduct curatorial tours and train SCCC’s docents for permanent and special exhibitions.
• Organise conferences, talks and other related programmes.

Requirements

• At least two to three of relevant research or curatorial work experience in any of the following fields: Singapore History, Chinese Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, with a Honours or Masters in related field. Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Able to tailor complex curatorial concepts to cater to different audiences.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent project management and inter-personal skills.
• Able to work independently and also be a good team player.
• Bilingual (written and spoken) with strong proficiency in Mandarin as the role requires working with primary and secondary Chinese research materials.

Position: Accounts Executive (AP):

Working in a dynamic and diversified team, the Accounts Executive will be reporting to Assistant Accountant. This role aims to assist and collaborate with Assistant Accountant in accounts payable tasks.

What you are expected

· Perform day to day verification and recording of expenditures and payments, including vendor invoices, petty cash claims and staff claims

· Responding to vendor enquiries

· Understand expense accounts and cost centres

· Perform month-end closing in prepayment amortisation and deposit paid schedules

· Support statutory audit, tax filing and other statutory reports

· Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (GST/ WHT)

· Perform other administrative responsibilities not mentioned above

· Report to Assistant Accountant

What we are looking for

· Minimum Nitec in accountancy, LCCI or related field

· Preferably with at least 2 to 3 years’ relevant job experience in AP function, especially in flexible workspace environment

· Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP would be an advantage

· Possess strong communication skill in written English

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Must be meticulous, able to work in team and within stipulated timelines

· Able to initiate process improvement

· Available in short notice is an advantage
