The Laboratory of Applied Human Genetics at the National Cancer Centre Singapore is a multi-disciplinary laboratory with specific focus on peritoneal malignancies and sarcoma. The direction of our laboratory is to solve real world clinical problems via sound scientific translation. Since the conception of our laboratory 7 years ago, we have now set up three scientific pillars of Therapeutics, Companion Diagnostic and CAPTIVATE (Target Generation) pipeline. Currently, we are working towards a first-in-human therapeutic developed in our laboratory. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to work with a team of researchers in the area of cancer therapy for advanced metastatic cancers. Interested applicants should have an extensive molecular biology experience to uncover the MOA/structure of our therapeutic using cellular signaling, cell biology or protein structure approaches and possess the desire to translate basic science to make a clinical impact. • PhD degree in Social Science, Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics or related academic area with at least 3 years’ experience in population health research

The Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) is a centralised platform for population health research, innovation, implementation and evaluation activities at the SingHealth Regional Health System. CPHRI aims to seamlessly leverage data and technology to guide and support population health initiatives and accelerate the implementation of research findings in care delivery and improvement.

You will support the work of the Population-based, Unified, Learning System for Enhanced and Sustainable Health (PULSES) Centre Grant which seeks to develop a learning and integrated Regional Health System to address unmet needs and advance population health research in Singapore.

You will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in conducting literature reviews and systematic reviews as well as assisting with study design and planning. You will conduct quantitative and qualitative research studies and perform data analysis. You will organise analytical and research activities and prepare manuscripts/reports/proposals. You will offer technical guidance and research support to department staff in the domain of analytics and programme evaluation. You will also support the development of educational curriculum and conduct education activities related to the various population health research areas and projects.

Requirement

• Master’s degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Biostatistics, Social Science, Epidemiology or related academic area with least 2 years’ experience in population health research

The SingHealth Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) is the nexus for population health research, innovation, implementation science and evaluation in SingHealth. CPHRI aims to seamlessly leverage data and technology to guide and support population health initiatives and accelerate the implementation of research findings in care delivery and improvement.

You will assist the Principal Investigator to perform a variety of functions such assisting in developing study plans and conducting literature reviews. You will be tasked to prepare Institutional Review Board applications as well as assist in subject recruitment, data collection and data management. You will assist with quality control and preparations for quality assurance. You will be required to liaise with study partners to ensure all study-related activities are carried out efficiently and coordinate project meetings. You will particpate in the preparation of abstracts, posters and manuscripts for dissemination of study results as well as reports as required by the funder.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, Epidemiology or related academic area
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and data analytics software (e.g. SPSS, STATA, Python and NVivo) is an advantage

As a Marketing Associate , you will need to :-

• Owns the master product information of all details and specifications; acts as the product go-to person in the organization.

As a research fellow, the position holder will be in charge of setting and running an evaluation for Virtual Care Centre (VCC) in National University Health System. This is a 3-year funded study with opportunities for publications.

In addition, administrative work which may be related to research or general work will also be needed for this position. The staff will have opportunities to help in the administration of VCC but also as per directions of the Project Lead.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Setting up evaluation metrics of VCC with stakeholders
2. To approach patients to invite them to participate in ethics approved clinical research studies, if required.
3. Write and review research papers, present research outcomes and develop collaborations.
4. Contribute to project management and provide guidance to more junior researchers.
5. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Secondary Duties

1. Attend VCC-related meetings
2. Assisting with Annual progress reports, Mid-term and Final review reports.
3. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the reporting officer/HOD.

Job Requirements :

1. Master and/or Degree in Biomedical sciences, Nursing / Medicine or related discipline.
2. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in hospital research is a plus.
3. Ability to work independently, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
4. Driven and motivated, with potential to achieve research excellence.
5. Ability to generate experimental results leading to high impact publications.
