We are looking for an experienced and proactive Technical Support Specialist for a new start-up company that distributes OEM industrial machines. As one of the pioneers of the firm, you will play a key role in providing technical support to the business development team, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering good after-sales service to the company’s clients. Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the role include but not limited to the following:
Technical Support & Product Demonstration
· Conduct product demonstrations for potential and existing customers, highlighting the features and benefits of our laser welding, cutting, and cleaning machines.
· Provide after-sales technical support, addressing customer inquiries and troubleshooting to ensure satisfaction.
Logistics & Coordination:
· Manage the logistics of importing machines, coordinating with Principals, and ensuring timely delivery.
· Oversee the delivery process to customers, ensuring machines arrive in optimal condition and on schedule.
Customer Training & Technical Support:
· Serve as the primary contact for all technical inquiries, providing expert guidance and resolving issues.
· Conduct training sessions on machine operation and maintenance and develop supporting materials for customer education.
Operational & Sales Support:
· Assist management in technical and operational tasks to ensure seamless customer service.
· Provide technical expertise to support sales activities as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
· Identify and implement improvements within technical and operational functions.
· Contribute technical insights to help shape sales strategies.
· Perform any other technical and operational tasks as required by management.
Qualifications
· ITE/Diploma in Marine Engineering, or a related field.
· Fresh from sea cadets/ engineers with engineering background are welcome to apply.
· If no sailing experience, at least 2 years of proven experience in a technical support’s role, preferably in an industrial engineering sector is preferred.
· Strong technical knowledge with the ability to understand and troubleshoot industrial machinery.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct effective demonstrations and training sessions.
· Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
