ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/MANAGER (CONFERENCE AND EVENT MANAGEMENT)

As a Conference and Event Manager, you will help to curate impactful event experiences for audiences. This will help to support CLC’s targeted engagements with key stakeholders.

Through our research, partnerships, capability development and other work, CLC continually acquires and develops knowledge on how urban planning and governance can make cities more liveable and sustainable. Conference and event management at CLC focuses on the planning and organisation of the flagship World Cities Summit (WCS) and the Mayors Forum (MF), and other related CLC outreach activities. It is a creative and practical planning and organisational role that involves curating contents and programme, and actualising them into immersive events and platforms that deliver value to audience and stakeholders.

The World Cities Summit (WCS) seeks to equip and inspire a global community of city leaders and allied professionals dedicated to making our cities more liveable and sustainable. The ability of WCS to convene and engage this community of foreign government and city leaders, International Organisations, sponsors and other partners is critical to its success, impact and value.

Working with CLC Marcoms team and the appointed Event Organiser, the Conference and Event manager will support the organising of the CLC in-person and virtual events; especially the biennial WCS, and, in alternate years, the overseas MF. The role involves researching and proposing suitable themes, topics, formats, speakers and writers. Staff will work with global urban leaders and experts, as well professional editors, designers, video producers and event organisers to deliver world class, high impact content. The Conference and Event manager will support the WCS organising committee to deliver an engaging experience through quality content and programming.

CLC seeks candidates who will push beyond boundaries to deliver high value, impactful work to very senior local and global audience of Ministers, Mayors, CEOs and experts.

Requirements:

1. Relevant leadership experience in conference and event organisation, with an interest in urban issues.
2. Prior experience in a related sector such as architecture, planning, smart cities, urban governance, geography, economics and real estate would be advantageous.
3. Good communication skills and ability to engage with senior officials or business leaders.
4. Resourceful, self-motivated, team player and keen learner. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
5. Basic knowledge of event management software, including proficiency in Microsoft office, especially excel.

Responsibilities:

To perform inspection, mechanical repair & assembly work of aircraft structural component.

Able to perform the following:

1. Inspect and document defects accurately in Inspection Repair Records (IRR)
2. Mechanical Repair
3. Part Forming
4. Part Replacement Work
5. Assembly and Disassembly Work
6. Final inspect completed repair task, ensuring it is serviceable and ready for release to service.
7. Can work independently on at least 3 skills set
8. Have good product knowledge of at least 1 major program
9. Setup Alignment Jig / ASMJ for Repair Work
10. Handle more than one job at a time
11. Schedule repair process to meet job delivery

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Nitec in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
2. Preferably with 1 to 3 years of experience in the maintenance, repair & overhaul of nacelle components
3. Understanding of blue prints, repair instructions & sketches
4. Possess CAAS A12, B11 & L11/L12 papers would be advantageous
5. Able to work independently and meet deadlines
6. A team player with a positive working attitude and keen interest to learn
7. Fresh school leavers will be considered for an entry level position

Objectives of the position:

This role is for the Customer Quality Support for Company’s product distribution where Customer’s feedback & Product Quality requirements / issues are handled. The person will be responsible to handle Customers requirements such as complaints, test data & other technical information as requested. Customer complaints handling will also include the necessary communication with all the stake holders (Customer, Supplier, CS, PP, SVM, LOG). Knowledge in cable testing and specification requirements will be required to understand Customer complaints (technical & logistics).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Customer complaint processes such as acknowledgement of the complaint, updating into SAP, keeping track of the complaint, closure of the complaint & summarizing for monthly reporting. Proper handling of customers’ needs by providing accurate and timely information on enquiries related to cable standards, test reports and handling of customer complaints.

2. Track supplier quality by means of in-coming inspection when required or arise from Customer complaints. Update results in SAP system and release inspected lots according to the usage decision defined. To generate supplier CAR and track for corrective action by liaising with the supplier.

3. Familiar with and comply to international cable testing standards and procedures. Contribute to achieving company & department KPIs through due diligence, duty of care & personal accountability for Quality assurance in all tasks.

4. Liaising with relevant departments to effectively close the Customer complaints

5. Maintain records in SAP

6. Operate Laboratory test equipment when required

7. Assist Customer’s Technical enquiries e.g Product Test Report, RoHS, REACH, CE

8. Supplier claim processes and 8D report.

9. Prepare and issue Customer Test Certificates & COC

10. Assist in other day to day activities related to QA department as assigned by Superior.

Skills & Qualification:

▪ Min. Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical) or equivalent

▪ Min. 2 years’ experience in electrical / electronic product testing and qualification. Training will be provided.

▪ Knowledge in ISO 9001 : 2015 QMS standard.

▪ Must be able to operate lab equipment (calliper, visual scope, resistance checker, High voltage tester).

▪ Prior experience in SAP system is required for this role. Knowledge of cable product testing is an added advantage.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

We are looking for Marine Senior Service Engineers for commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of marine Generator. Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience with assembly and repair of Marine Generator, and/or familiar with marine electronics and automation systems.

SPECIFIC RESPONSBILITIES

• Standby support and 24/7 emergency call for customer support.
• Providing after-sales technical support, site recovery and maintenance responsibilities to distributors/end customers.
• Provide the installation, commissioning and on-site training to support the customers according to the scope of the project.
• Generate a service report to customer in a systematic manner.
• Investigate and handle all customers’ complaints related to product failures.
