The main responsibilities of the position include:

- Developing theoretical methods to predict and characterize nonequilibrium quantum many-body phenomena in synthetic quantum matter (cold atoms, Rydberg atoms, trapped ions,etc.), utilizing the lens of quantum information theory (e.g., entanglement, tensor networks). Specific topics include deep thermalization, measurement-induced randomness, measurement-induced entanglement phases, dynamical/driven phases of matter, quantum many-body scars etc.

Job Description

Highly motivated and creative postdoctoral candidates are sought to work at the Yang Zhang Lab, Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, School of Computing, and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, at National University of Singapore.

Candidates, who are interested in artificial intelligence (AI) and deep machine learning, protein and RNA structural prediction, protein and peptide design and engineering, and/or protein-ligand docking and drug screening, are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in the development of new AI-based approaches to cancer therapeutics, including antibody design and discovery, T cell receptor T cell therapy (TCR-T), and peptide-drug conjugate (PDC) cancer therapy. Focus of our laboratory is more on new and creative algorithm/platform developments rather than application of existing programs. Therefore, skills in computational coding and creativity in scientific method design, together with interest in computational cancer medicine, are critical to the position. Job Description

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore is currently seeking a dedicated Research Assistant/Associate in Field Epidemiology to join a multidisciplinary team. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in innovative research projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia across a range of topics, including spatial epidemiology, infectious disease modelling, ecology, entomology and machine learning. This position will contribute to field epidemiology research projects on the impacts of environmental change on vector-borne and zoonotic disease risks. This work will allow you to collaborate with a broad group of researchers through the Climate, Environment and Health programme (https://sph.nus.edu.sg/research/climate-environment-and-health-programme). Key responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct field epidemiological studies on vector and wildlife distribution across land use gradients in Singapore and Southeast Asia;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of researchers, including epidemiologists, entomologists, wildlife ecologists and public health experts at universities and government agencies;
• Contribute to design and analysis of field and infectious disease modelling studies in collaboration with project partners;
• Document research output including cleaning, analysis and interpretation of data, development of standard operating procedures and drafting progress reports;
• Present research findings at national and international conferences and publish results in peer-reviewed scientific journals;
• Contribute to grant proposals and reports for funding agencies.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability. There will be an opportunity to pursue a PhD at NUS if interested. The grade of appointment will be based on qualifications and years of relevant work experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as epidemiology, entomology, ecology, geography or a related discipline
• Previous experience with field or laboratory studies and willingness to work in remote locations
• Experience with statistical analysis using programmes such as R or Stata
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences
• A history of peer-reviewed publications is preferred
