• Developing nanodevices and computational simulations of nanodevice patterns
• Contributing to business strategy formulation
• Developing methods and processed in collaboration with universities, third-party laboratories, and suppliers
• Collaborating with researchers, postgraduates, and staff of CA2DM on research activities

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Hold an internationally-recognized Bachelor's and Master's degree in areas related to material science or engineering
• Have more than five years of hands-on experimental laboratory activities
• Have experience in laboratory management with a problem solving approach
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in nanodevices development, biosensors development, biotechnology device applications, materials processing, biomaterials functionalization, materials and nanodevices characterization techniques (e.g., FTIR, XRD, Raman, electrical impedance, optical microscopy, SEM, TEM, UV-Vis, TGA, DSC, and mass spectroscopy)
• Have experience developing magneto-elastic devices
• Have experience in writing scientific articles
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Job Description:

The laboratory of EpiMetaGenomics (https://bensonchenlab.com) is seeking to recruit a skilled and motivated research officer interested in functional genomics. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in high-throughput sequencing, microbiology, molecular biology, and cell culture techniques. The candidate will work with a team to develop in vitro and in vivo functional assays, collect and process tissue samples, and assist in the day-to-day operation of the lab. Job duties & responsibilities:

1. Laboratory maintenance: assist in organization and upkeep of laboratory supplies. Take on administrative roles where necessary, such as procurement of lab supplies, lab safety oversight… etc.

2. Laboratory procedure: perform various biological assays, including PCR, DNA/RNA purification, protein extraction, bacterial and mammalian cell culture.

3. Carefully and thoroughly document all procedures performed and results generated

4. Communicate, design, organize, and conduct the experiments efficiently. Complete assigned tasks on time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in relevant fields with at least 5 years of previous experience in a research lab
• Solid knowledge in molecular biology
• Highly motivated and passionate about scientific research
• Ability to follow protocol precisely and have excellent communication skills

A Research Fellow position is available in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

The Research Fellow will work with our team to conduct the research on development of AI models and algorithms for image processing, computational imaging as well as computer vision applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research on the cutting-edge AI algorithms for processing and modeling high-dimensional data (e.g., tensor or multi-modality data)
• Work with other researchers and PhDs to develop AI applications related to image processing, computational imaging as well as computer vision
• Lead a team of junior researchers, e.g., PhD students and Research Assistant, to help with the vision and data analytics tasks
• Discussion and study recent papers and baseline codes in this field. Report to advisor and the team weekly
• Prepare and publish research papers on top-tier conferences and journals
• Help prepare the proposal and progress report

Job Requirements:

The successful applications are expected to possess PhD Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from reputed universities, with at least 5-year research experience in related fields.

1. Research and Comprehensive Skills:

• Good paper reading and writing skills
• Excellent publication record, including top-tier journals and conference papers in the related fields
• Strong in Mathematics

2. Coding Skills:

• Familiar with any of the major deep learning libraries, including Pytorch, TensorFlow, MatConNet
