Responsibilities:
1. Teach English composition writing to primary school students (on-site or online classes) between 2 to 8 per class.
2. Marking of students' work and composition (with Acrobat Reader software if classes are conducted online).
3. Communicate with parents on students' progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A1 or A2 grade for GCE 'O' level English subject or an A grade for GCE 'A' level General Paper.
- Experience in teaching primary school English composition or creative writing in enrichment or tuition centres for at least 2 years.
- Experience in teaching students online via Zoom or similar online platforms.
- Able to manage students and engage them during online lessons.
- Experience in marking students' compositions and providing detailed and constructive written and verbal feedback.
- Excellent knowledge of primary school English composition syllabus and latest PSLE composition format and requirements.
- Excellent competency in spoken and written English.
- Excellent competency in English grammar and vocabulary.
- Able to work from home to conduct lessons online.
- Only Singaporeans or PRs.
- Experience in writing, copywriting or journalism will have an added advantage.
- NIE-trained former MOE school teachers with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and Literature will have an added advantage.

Computer Literacy & Requirement:
- Proficient with PDF, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Must own a decent Windows-based Operating System laptop (Windows 10) or a Macintosh Laptop.
- Have at least 100 Mbps home internet connection.
- Has a conducive teaching environment at home.
Working hours:
- Lessons are conducted on weekdays between 3 pm to 9 pm and Saturdays between 9.45 am to 6 pm.
- No teaching on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Work Commencement Date:
- from April/May 2024.
Other Information:
- Lesson materials and curriculum provided by the Centre.
- Additional online classes will be given after 3-4 months of observation (for freelancers).
- Option to convert to part-time or full-time teaching once proven (for freelancers).
- Part-time or full-time employment will be offered to suitable experienced candidates.
- Flexi-work arrangement for part-time or full-time employment.
- Lessons are conducted 50% online and 50% on-site (at Parkway Centre) OR 100% online depending on the candidate's preference.
