Purpose and Scope
The Contracts Engineering team plays a pivotal role in managing the financial & contractual provisions which is crucial to the successful delivery of building projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial & contractual provisions of all projects from pre-tender to post contract phases including quantities, variations, cost estimates, monthly claims, final accounts etc
- Work closely with Project Manager in preparing monthly updated project costing
- Develop suitable subcontract conditions for specific project requirements
- Prepare project budgeting and costing reports
- Responsible in cost estimating, quantity take off, claims preparation, variations and final accounts.
- Review of contracts, prepare tender & contract documentations, tender analysis & reporting, measurement etc
- Review sub-contractors claims and materials on site
- Standardize all agreements (e.g. subcontracts and joint ventures) with alignment to contract policy
Requirements:
- Degree in Building/ Construction Management/ Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction industry.
- Strong in negotiation skills.
- Good understanding & knowledge of contracts law and its application.
- Preferably well versed in various form of contracts such as PSSCOC, SIA and FIDIC as well as other international form of contracts.
- Preferably conversant in using CostX and/or Glodon Cubicost measurement software.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
