Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage VMware and other vCenter environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Configure and maintain Meraki switches and access points, as well as Fortigate firewalls, ensuring network security and efficiency.
• Administer Windows servers, including MS-SQL and IIS servers to support development projects and assist with creating queries and reports.
• Support and maintain Windows workstations and laptops, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
• Implement and manage backup/recovery solutions, along with comprehensive disaster recovery plans to safeguard data and operations.
• Collaborate with HQ to align with corporate IT standards, including maintaining and updating ISO documentation as required.

Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering, Information technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure management
• Able to start within short notice is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of VMware and vCenter environments.
• Proficient in SQL and IIS server management.
• Hands-on experience with Windows servers and workstations.
• Familiar with Meraki and Fortigate products.
• Experience in office 365 installation and configuration.

The ByteDance Large Model Team is committed to developing the most advanced AI large model technology in the industry, becoming a world-class research team, and contributing to technological and social development. The Large Model Team has a long-term vision and determination in the field of AI, with research directions covering NLP, CV, speech, and other areas. The Machine Learning (ML) System sub-team combines system engineering and the art of machine learning to develop and maintain massively distributed ML training and inference system/services around the world, providing high-performance, highly reliable, scalable systems for LLM/AIGC/AGI.

Responsibilities:

- Architect and develop efficient, highly scalable and secured services;

- Optimise backend systems and services for data security, modularity, computational efficiency and scalability;

- Analyse business and technical requirements carefully to solve challenging problems

- Participate in design reviews and code reviews

- Collaborate with fellow engineers, product managers, and business owners in the team to ensure timely delivery of business requirements

- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.

- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.

- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

- Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

- Strong software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style;

- Familiarity with at least one of the programming languages: Go, Python, Java or C++;

- Pragmatic understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, distributed system, and highly scalable systems design.

Preferred Qualifications

- Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver.

- Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications.

- Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
