Functional relationships:

- MLCC production control in Japan headquarter & factories

- MLCC production control in oversea affiliates: China & ASEAN

POSITION PROFILE:

This position works closely with global affiliates, especially Japan counterparts, to develop and improve production control systems for higher productivity, accurate forecast, and on-time delivery. Recommend changes to current practices and works with business representatives to define requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Display a high level of organizational awareness and leadership skills by working in a collaborative manner with other departments within the organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as an expert of Production Control and guide for specialized subjects.
• Understand the language/terms/jargon in production control expertise.
• Act as the “go to” person within a department for questions and problems.
• Explain expertise clearly and give advice.
• Promote Innovation in the Organization.
• Help to improve the business performance by identifying the problematic areas and proposing relevant technical solutions.
• Work with business representatives to define requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Align operation change with related parties and follow up system development & implementation schedule.
• Measure effectiveness and introduce new system & operation clearly to others.
• Be a bridge to connect with Japan headquarter planning and production control in horizontal deployment as well as seeking partnership in new development projects.
• Provide training and coaching to develop individual knowledge and skill for production control.

Ability/Competency required:

• To hold bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in any fields.
• To have more than 4 years working experience in electronics manufacturing industry.
• Deep & specialized knowledge in production control.
• Fluent in Japanese language.
• Logical thinking, analytical skill, and good business sense.
• Strong mind-set for change and improvement.
• Proactive attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Networking ability with business counterparts.

Key Responsibilities

• To work as part of a Project/Service team to support administrative works, Project Documentation, etc;
• To work with Project/Service team to forecast service schedule
• To conduct project procurement and vendor management;
• To fulfill any other duties as and when assigned by management

Responsibilities

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering; Experience in Marine Safety / Refinery / Petrochemical Industry preferred.
• Entry level will be considered. Salary will commensurate in accordance to experience
• Good command of English and computer literacy;

• Knowledge with MS Office, AutoCad 2017 and above preferred;

• Upkeep record of department equipment/assets.
• Execute both static and dynamic measurement such as dimension control and flow measurement not limiting to shore/ship tanks, piping, flow meters and instrument validation for custody transfer purposes.

• Assist in the development and training of staff to required level of expertise.
• Ensure that all operations are conducted within client’s health and safety requirements.
• Assist in the implementation of department Quality system per the QA Manual.
• Perform any other task that may be assigned from time to time by Management.
• All jobs done in accordance to SGS Standard Procedures and/or Local Procedures where applicable.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in the field of Electrical or Electronic Engineering discipline
• Preferably 2 years of working experience
• Good computing skills and knowledge
• Possess local class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage
• Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Good team player, works well under pressure and able to challenge status quo
• Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously
• Able to ensure that process flow and work delivery is accurate and timely

• Instrumentation validation/verification/flow measurement
• Dimension control measurement via Total Station or theodolite
• Good computer knowledge in MS Office particularly Advanced Excel

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare electrical drawings for control panels
• Sizing of cables, CB, and other components for control panels
• Instructing technicians on assembling control panels
• Supervising and instructing technicians during offsite maintenance or repairs of control panels
• Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in control systems
• Program and configure VFD, temperature controller, and other devices
• Managing and organizing the equipment and inventory

Job Requirements:

• Min 2 years of working experience in the related field, especially experience with designing and preparing electrical drawings for control panels
• Possess technical skills and knowledge of Transformers, Motors, Motor Starters, Testing and Commissioning
• Familiar with AutoCad

• Maintain accurate project documentations, including progress report, project schedule, technical agreement and project planning
• Carry out other responsibilities as and when assigned by the superiors

• Inspect outgoing parts and incoming parts
• Maintain quality record file quality data
• Highlight quality problems for action
• Authorise the rejection of parts if found unsatisfactory
• Testing and commission on parts

Job Responsibilities - Service (Training Provided):

• Service customers in the repair and modification works of switchboards and its related equipment.
• Test and commission of switchboards on board vessels or on-site to the satisfaction of customers, if assigned as added duties.
• Liaise with customers on their requirements and provide feedback to our Sales and Marketing Department.
• Perform other jobs on-site which include coupling of switchboards, rework and modifications etc.
