(a) To review, redesign and redevelopment of the entire Heat Removal Core Product and Solution.

Module includes

· Heat Removal

· Thermodynamics system of various heat exchangers

· Interfacing with electrical remote central control unit and associated valves, piping, sensors, refrigerants and Leak and Alarm detection systems.

Next tier of Thermal cooling Engineering design

(a)Thermal cooling for the entire eco-system of the Data Centre and involves working with third party product and system and incorporating and customization to integrate with our patented cooling design concepts.

Module includes

• Chilled water system with elevated temperature
• Different types of chilled water system
• CFD diagnosis to all relevant space to guide design and testing.

Requirement

· Bsc Degree or master’s in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering

· Min 5 years’ experience in Building Automation or HVAC or Chemical Plant

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will:

• Attend field service calls within the Southeast Asia region
• Inspect, repair, and install gear drives and other transmission parts (i.e. planetary, mill drive, variator drives, marine drives, coupling etc.) at customer sites
• Drive direct interaction and coordination with customers’ site personnel
• Troubleshoot errors and advise on corrective action
• Write customer facing reports
• Read and work from blueprints, parts lists, and assembly protocols
• Disassemble gear drives, inspect disassembled parts, write up and report failed parts, and advise on replacement parts.
• Create expense reports

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power transmission, heavy equipment assembly, marine, or wind gearbox applications or 5 years of experience in field service operations
• Ideally possess gear box maintenance experience
• Possess ability to carry items up to 20 kg in weight, climb stairs and ladders generally up to 125 meters in height
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic maintenance/troubleshooting
• Willing to travel occasionally within SEA

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Dynamic team focused on designing, optimizing mechanical system for data centre facilities. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of our data centre infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, HVAC system, and a deep understanding of data centre requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design and development of mechanical system for data centres facilities, ensuring they meet performance, reliability and efficiency standards which comply with relevant building codes, industry standards, and environmental regulations.
• Specify, select the mechanical equipment, such as chillers, air handler, and other HVAC component, ensuring they meet data centre requirement and standards.
• Responsible for technical evaluation of design submission by various vendors/consultant/etc.
• Support and work closely with the design team for the optimization of data hall standards.
• Design and optimise HVAC systems to ensure proper cooling and climate control within the data centre environment, this includes thermal analysis and simulation.
• Lead and manage project teams/consultants/vendors by reviewing technical accuracy and technical outcomes.
• Lead and manage a team of mechanical & electrical engineers responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, project managers, and regulatory affairs personnel, to develop, integrate and implement mechanical engineering solution aligned with project objectives and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 4 - 6 years experiences in HVAC design and mission critical infrastructure
• Able to interact and work with colleagues and member of other consultants at various levels.
• Experience in mechanical design, particularly in the context of data centre facilities
• Proficiency in CAD software and thermal analysis tools ie. CFD simulation
• Strong understanding of HVAC system and their application in data centre environments
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to data centre design.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service (60%)

• Represent OMEGA in dealing with customers’ concerns.
• To provide quality support to customers’ technical enquiries.
• To communicate with customers on his needs and request for service.
• To perform repair, installation and commissioning of Marine Communication and Navigational equipment.
• To troubleshoot complex technical faults, report findings and communicate with Projects, Sales and customers for solutions and feedback.
• Interact with end-users to explain the failure mode in detail.
• Travel to customer sites as circumstances dictate; 60-70% of the time will travel around the globe to attend to break downs & repair onboard vessels; otherwise in Singapore supporting the same activities.

Internal Liaison (25%)

• Assist the project team in project executions; in providing technical expertise in field/site works.
• Be responsible for the tools and parts issued under his care.
• To observe and implement the company EHS policy; ensure compliance with all safety policies, practices and procedures at all times.
• Able to meet project deadlines and prioritizing tasks time to time as scheduled.
• Any other duties assigned by immediate Superior.

Reporting (15%)

• To report the jobs carried out in the standard service report form; report the productivity hours and tasks performed.
• To summarize service reports per project for team for submission to the Manager, Service.
• To report on team’s achievements on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Min 4 year of relevant working experience.
• Basic knowledge on Network System.
• Good Knowledge on one or two of the following: telecommunication, public announcement systems, navigation systems.

• Willing to travel and staying overseas for a period of up to 4 weeks.

• Review the BIM model and ensure correct the installation details, compliance with design specifications and guidelines.
• Supervise and coordinate site installation works by contractors.
• Attending site coordinate meetings with main-con, consultants and contractor.
• Lead daily briefing and execute the project activities and oversee implementation of the quality plan.
• Coordinate installation activities, site safety, order, arrange and receive M&E major equipment delivery for contractors’ installation.
• Site progress update bi-weekly and monthly.
• Arrange and attend material, equipment, installation, and testing inspection.
• Carry out testing and commissioning and handover of completed work activities to respective authorities or clients to in timely manner and delivery with desired quality standards and safety aspects.
• Maintain all quality and safety records, and other duties as assigned
