Job Overview
As a Process Engineer, the primary responsibility is to optimize and improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of production processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
· Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase overall productivity. Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
· Collaborate with production teams to identify and eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall process reliability.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality standards.
· Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related issues.
· Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on the selection of equipment and technology for new processes.
· Ensure the successful transfer of new processes from development to production
· Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and address any breakdowns promptly.
· Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process parameters.
· Generate regular reports on key metrics, process performance, and improvement initiatives. Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to achieve common goals.
· Additional duties & responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
REQUIREMENTS :
· Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process optimization and improvement.
· Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
· Excellent technical & interpersonal skills, resourceful and team player.
· Experience in fully / semi-automated manufacturing environment, familiarity with various manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies. PLC knowledge is a plus.
· Self motivated, ability to work under tight deadlines.
· Strong problem solving & analytical skills, Excellent communication and Technical reporting skills.
· Proficient in the use of relevant software tools, working knowledge of Solidworks, Auto Cad
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
· Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
