This is an eighteen-month on-the-job training programme that involves participation in and supporting inter-disciplinary and collaborative drug discovery projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing experiments to investigate the role of RNA in gene expression and regulation. This position will involve working with a variety of RNA species, including messenger RNA, non-coding RNA, and small RNAs, as well as RNA-binding proteins.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and apply RNA biology techniques to drive small molecule drug discovery programmes and characterise the mechanisms of small molecule candidates in disease models
• Design, optimise, analyse, and troubleshoot molecular biology and cell-based assays to screen, validate hits and confirm the activity of the small molecule

- Pressure vessel and tank design in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure vessel Code section II, VIII (Div.1 & 2) and IX, API 650 TEMA, JIS B8265 and JPI.
