WHAT YOU WILL DO

Main Responsibilities

• Provides support to complete work activities timely, efficiently and satisfactorily
• Collates and report the team shift or day activities to the team lead
• Provides simple troubleshooting and diagnostic of equipment failure to determine the root cause and perform immediate corrective actions. Use RTPS or RCFA tool for difficult or complex problem.
• Standby for any emergency repair after office hours / weekends and public holidays.
• Operates and maintains process equipment/utilities /Facilities within the production plant
• Performs and coordinates utilities shutdown, startup, swing over, and equipment servicing and inspection
• Performs jobs assigned by Manager pertaining to installation, modification, fabrication, testing, servicing and repairs of equipment with adherence to site change control procedures or minor projects.
• Performs testing, commissioning, qualification (IQ, OQ) activities
• Carries out Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) improvement initiatives (i.e. audits, training, etc) and submit recommendation
• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance for the Process /Utilities equipment/ systems to ensure efficient running of equipment.
• Executes CMMS Work Instruction from process plants (e.g. Isolation and Reconnection of electrical supply, install earthing bonds for new or replacement piping, replace faulty lighting and troubleshoot/repair any E/I faults)
• Performs basic troubleshooting of the AHU/ BMS system.
• Assists Manger/ Engineer during the vendor servicing and testing of PRDs/ process Equipment/ Systems
• Participate in SHE, Business Compliance, cGMP and all other compliance-related matters, where applicable

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Qualification

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in mechanical maintenance field in the Petrochemical or related industries
• Knowledge of cGMP and good documentation practice will be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Manage 3rd party logistics vendor (3PL, external – warehouse or transporter) in Singapore/Malaysia to achieve operation excellence and targets for Dow
• Lead and participate in advanced troubleshooting for systems, processes and order fulfillment

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Technical know-how in process safety engineering, QRA, or PHA is essential
• 5 Years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical API or related industries; incumbent as technical role with good knowledge of dispersion modelling, QRA is advantageous.
• Good knowledge and application of stipulated codes of practice (e.g.ANSI/ISA-18.2-2009, SS506 part 3, API510, Singapore Fire Safety Act)  is advantageous

What You Will Be Working On

• Conduct research and develop proof of concepts in trust technologies, such as trustworthy AI (e.g., AI red teaming on generative AI) and privacy-preserving technologies.
• Develop Proof-of-Concept tools and develop novel techniques to evaluate and assess safety of AI systems, including writing detailed technical documentation.
• Work closely with the product managers, data scientists and engineers to design and develop minimum viable products on trust-related products.
• Write thought leadership articles, including blogs and papers, on our research in trust technologies to educate and raise the overall competency in emerging areas of trust technologies. Engage in demonstrations, presentations, and knowledge-sharing sessions on trust technologies.
• Establish connections with global partners and researchers to stay updated on the latest trends, enhancing Singapore's influence in this domain, and representing IMDA at international research forums.

What We Are Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in one of more of the following three areas:
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) or trustworthy AI,
  • Privacy preserving technologies,
  • Cybersecurity.
• Experience in translating or commercializing emerging technologies.
• An excellent understanding of challenges and limitations in areas such as AI robustness, privacy, AI safety, and fairness.
• A passion for hands-on, innovative work, and the ability to rapidly prototype solutions for complex problems.
