• Plan, lead, and supervise upgrading works, addition and alteration works
• Lead a team of supervisors and workers and oversight of manpower for project execution
• Ensure designs/drawings meet relevant code and compliance requirements, and good engineering practices
• To provide mechanical or engineering solutions to clients upon their request
• To attend site matters/discussions to resolve technical / site issues and progress matters
• Continuing to improve all installation works schedules and quality of work through proper planning of work method, materials procurement and selection, and efficient site management
• Monitor and control project schedule, materials delivery, and budget, etc
• Monitor M&E works documents and shop drawings coordination
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, project supervisors, and sub-contractors on project-related issues and ensure project objectives are met
• To supervise and ensure works are in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications
• Establish and maintain a detailed tracking and filing system for all documents
• To prepare, and submit Variation Claims with instruction documents & part-plan from the client
• Maintain all filing systematically & uploading of softcopies in the system
• To place materials order to Purchaser in advance as per Order list as per site requirement
• Responsible for ensuring implementation safety measures
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

· Coordinates construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications

· Interprets structural drawings for implementation in construction projects

· Reviews design and discusses modifications with consultants, providing engineering input and alternative methods to address construction challenges

· Raised RFI (Request for Information) on any discrepancies and ambiguities in the design drawings

· Works with construction team, including project managers, site engineers, architects and electrical and mechanical engineers to explain drawings, specifications and other technical information to answer their clarifications

· Conducts regular technical meetings with consultants and client to discuss and resolve construction issues

· Manages structural drafters and reviews shop drawings to ensure these are in compliance with the project specifications

· Monitors changes to designs, assessing effects on cost and assisting with variation negotiations

Maintained up to date documentation and filing system of all relevant technical reports and submissions, drawings and specifications

1. A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from recognised universities.
2. At least five (5) years of practical working experience in the related field in building construction projects.
3. Report to Technical Manager, and assist in managing, planning and coordinating mechanical engineering or electrical engineering to meet time, cost and quality objectives.
4. Coordinate design and/or detailing with consultants, develop shopdrawings, review of submissions from subcontractors and liaise with other work disciplines.
5. Proficient in REVIT and AUTOCAD software applications.
6. Positive attitude, self-motivated, initiative and responsible.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Able to work independently.
9. Candidates with more than eight (8) years of relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.
10. Remuneration shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. Basic salary: $3,500 to $6,000, plus allowances.
