Nanyang Technological University’s Mastercard-NTU Joint Lab was established to advance digital trust and cybersecurity. Leveraging Mastercard's industry expertise and NTU's educational resources, the lab leads research and training programs to enhance cybersecurity infrastructure and foster digital trust.

We are looking for a Senior / Research Engineer to design, develop, implement, and oversee techniques and systems in Trust Technology and related areas such as privacy and security, blockchain, and Web 3.0 which are important components of digital trust platforms. The role will focus on emerging technologies that engender trust and espouse the values of fairness, safety, and privacy in digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research into trust technologies testing – translating research algorithms, and design/develop tools and frameworks into working prototypes that can explain how research outputs can be productised into new capabilities.
• Work closely with Centre’s researchers to design and develop system implementation work from research into product.
• Design and build working tools that can support technology transfer of new research capabilities to practical solution capabilities that can be used to showcase the value of a given research outcome.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, presentations, and papers on research into trust technologies testing, help to educate and raise the overall competency of Singapore manpower in emerging areas of trust technologies.
• Engage global partners and researchers to understand latest trends and advance Singapore’s mindshare in this domain.
• For research engineer position, the emphasis is on the engineering and implementation of trust technologies
• For senior research engineer position, the emphasis is on the system and architecture design of trust solutions for digital transformation in addition to their engineering and implementation.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in programming languages Java, C/C++ is a must. Experience in other programming languages and/or frameworks such as Python, Go, Spring will be an advantage.
• Proficiency with working with common Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL etc. (including shell scripting) is a must.
• Proficiency and experience in developing network and communication protocols and using socket programming in cloud-based systems is a must.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring and using SQL database is a must. Experience in other data processing technologies such as NoSQL, Hadoop is an advantage.
• Proficiency and experience in working with different virtualization technologies to enhance cloud service system performance is a must.

The Systems Engineer is a critical component of the Arista Sales team. The main responsibility of the Systems Engineer is acting as a trusted advisor to our customers and prospects to identify opportunities, gather requirements and design creative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• You will partner with the Arista Account Managers to understand customer pain points and conduct white board network architectural reviews in addition to conducting Arista product presentations of Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus (including Wifi) networking solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection), Endpoint Security and Real-time Fabric Monitoring solutions.
• You will architect, design and propose Arista Data Center & Campus network solutions using leaf-spine architectures (VXLAN, EVPN) and network overlays to capture additional sales.
• Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, Data Center and/or Campus network designs, and network deployments using new products and features.
• Put together design guidelines and recommend improvements to customers for the networks they supported.
