Join our Trust Company as the Resident Manager, where you will hold a pivotal position reporting directly to the Board of Directors and collaborating closely with the Managing Director. Your primary responsibility will involve overseeing trust administration, compliance, and risk management for our licensed entity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive suite of trust and corporate services to clients, cultivating and enhancing relationships while ensuring satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with potential clients, and expanding the company's presence in the market.
- Meet statutory and regulatory obligations as Resident Manager, engaging in joint decision-making on client matters, operations, and new business ventures.
- Manage a portfolio of trust clients as the primary point of contact, supervising trust administration and fulfilling trustee duties.
- Efficiently lead and manage initiatives, projects, and ad hoc tasks, conducting regular reviews of business performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal control and audit standards.
- Conduct timely periodic reviews on all trust accounts per company policies, fostering relationships with legal professionals, investment managers, auditors, bankers, etc.
- Monitor accounts receivables, maintain accurate client records, provide timely information to the Management Team, and address inquiries from accounting and control departments.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree or professional qualification in law, accounting, or a related field
- Possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in the trust industry; STEP qualification is advantageous
- Previous experience as a Resident Manager in a Singapore licensed trust company preferred
- In-depth knowledge of trust law, company law, and administrative practices
- Expertise in identifying and mitigating operational risks
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (MAS, AML, KYC etc.)
- Strategic mindset, analytical skills, project management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex issues clearly
- Organized approach to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
- Team player mindset with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
- Fluency in Mandarin is essential for effective communication with Chinese clients
