Job Description

This person will report to the Group Financial Controller and Group Tax Senior Manager.

Treasury Responsibilities:

• Supervise and generate cash forecasting reports on a weekly and monthly basis, collaborating with regional finance teams for necessary inputs.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash forecasting, ensuring accuracy.
• Coordinate with third-party providers such as banks in the FX hedging process, providing back-office support for FX deal confirmation and recording hedge accounting requirements.
• Assist in external debt administrative matters and comply with lender's requirements.
• Populate the month-end template for the posting of accounting journals related to treasury transactions.

Ad-hoc Projects:

• Monitor and manage the progress of work with external advisors to meet internal timelines effectively.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal reports as needed.

The Successful Applicant

• CA/ CPA qualified or studying
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Word) - Advanced, required.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Project management skills and experience of implementing projects would be helpful to support in current project management duties.
• Basic knowledge of cash forecasting, FX trading requirements required.
• Basic understanding of corporate taxes (VAT/GST, international, corporate and transfer pricing).
• Ability to come up with solutions, lead change, seek continuous process improvement - with an approach that takes due consideration of the ability of teams to absorb change
• Ability to navigate through complex situations and matrix organisation structure, to deliver results amongst different stakeholders.

Summary

Directs the establishment and maintenance of corporate accounting principles, practices and procedures for the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports. Develops and maintains planning and budgeting systems. Analyzes and interprets trends and operating results in terms of costs, budgets policies and profit opportunities.

Key accountabilities

• Perform ad hoc standard cost roll and cycle count posting in system for Singapore.
• Provide and analyze monthly expense reports to support operations.
• Provide in-depth variance analysis including purchase price variance, production variance and MFG variance.
• Arrange inventory physical counts to ensure the validity and accuracy of assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate month- end closing and reporting including journal entries, accounting schedules, balance sheet reconciliation.
• Manage full spectrum of fixed asset activities.
• Responsible for fixed asset report to ensure all assets are accountable.
• Support external tax and audit.
• Support Annually Operating Plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in finance or accounting.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in MNC environment with exposure to costing.
• In-depth knowledge at standard costing system and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of MS-office, SAP knowledge is must.
• Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Good team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Food & Beverage Department on operational, inventory, and cost-related issues.
• Setting-up cost control systems and categories for each outlet, evaluating recipes submitted by F&B, and pre-costing all items in the menus.
• Monitor processes are in stores, kitchens, and bars, and inventories properly record and audit.
• Ensuring the preparation of documents related to food and beverage are accurate.
• Preparing daily food and beverage cost reports and allocated correctly to each outlet.
• Analyze the F&B food covers, revenue, and cost reports.
• Ensure control policies and procedures are followed.
• Perform weekly audits on selected bars, kitchens, and stores to control inventory variances and make recommendations for weaknesses.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 2 - 3 years of cost accounting experience, preferably from F&B or hospitality industry

Job Requirement

Principal Accountabilities:

• Handle and maintain accurate records of trust account balances and activity supported by relevant documentation
• Monitor trust account transactions and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and file trust account tax returns
• Provide regular financial statements and reports to clients
