Job description:

1. Assess the creditworthiness of potential clients and customers by analyzing financial data, credit reports, and other relevant information.
2. Calculate and assign credit scores to applicants based on evaluation of financial status, payment history, and other factors.
3. Develop strategies and recommendations to mitigate credit risk, minimize potential losses, and optimize the company's credit portofolio.
4. Monitor the company's credit portfolio on an ongoing basis, identifying emerging risks and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate them.
5. Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.

Location: Changi Road

Working hours: 8.45am to 6.15pm (Mon to Fri)

Duration: End August to 6 Months (maternity cover)

We are looking for a candidate to provide general administration and accounting work for the Finance department in the Law Society. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate within a team and engage with professionals in the finance field.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assisting with accounting data entry and analysis.
• Supporting the finance team in preparing monthly financial reports and statements.
• Collaborating with team members on various financial projects. (Eg. Update of Standard Operating Procedures / Chart of Accounts).
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assisting with annual audit.
• Assist CFO on projects / assignment(s), with supervising manager(s)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Trust and Estate Administration: Managing the day-to-day administration of trust portfolios, including but not limited to opening new bank or brokerage accounts, distribution to beneficiaries, fund transfer, and investment management.
• Carry out periodic reviews of assigned trust portfolios to ensure they are being administered in accordance with the trust deeds, the company’s policies, and legal and tax requirements.
• Maintaining accurate and updated trust records. Create Viewpoint Master files, set up and uploaded all trust documents into ViewPoint and maintenance of all necessary principal records and trust files.
• Acts as a primary point of contact for trust clients and ensures transparency in trust administration by providing high-quality customer service to clients, building strong relationships, and maintaining a client-focused approach.
• Ability to draft trustee minutes, resolutions, or any trust related documents.
• Administration of trusts and foundations, including its underlying structure and portfolios.
• Work closely with other departments to coordinate services for clients.
• Collaborate with professional advisors, investment managers and banks in the management of the assets of the trusts and foundations.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting, or relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Trust Administration or relevant.
• Solid understanding of relevant trust laws and regulations related to trusts, estate planning, taxation, and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a discreet and utmost confidentiality with high ethical standards to protect clients' data.
• STEP qualification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Define and collate business requirements, prepare functional requirements, write user stories, and initiate user requests (Request for Service) on behalf of the business and risk management credit units.
• Support user queries and post-implementation review of the credit risk models.
• Review business process supported by the credit systems to optimize efficiency.
• Plan for test scenarios, perform pre-User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sanity checks and coordinate with end-users to perform UAT.
• Conduct training for new and existing system-related processes and functionality.
• Maintain business-related documentation for the credit systems including requirements, user guides, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and ensure these are updated to the Intranet for on-going access by credit and business users.
• Perform any other business-related tasks in the project schedule including data analysis, user interviews/ surveys, maintain system configuration, preparation of user reports and Live Verification.
• Work closely with Technology support & delivery teams to ensure that user requirements are delivered successfully.

Requirements:

• Degree in IT or any data-related discipline.
• At least 10 years’ relevant work experience as Business Analyst and/or Data Analyst handling end-to-end delivery.
• Product Owner or Scrum Master experience is a plus.
• Able to understand and articulate business objectives, risks, and dependencies.
• Experience in Wholesale Banking and Credit risk projects is a plus.
• Product knowledge and prior experience of Wholesale/Corporate Banking, Loans, Trade and Treasury and Markets.
• Knowledge of credit products, risk monitoring, control processes and credit processing systems of banks or any similar industry.
• Experience with Data Analytics/ Machine Learning project and application is a plus.
• Experience working in AGILE methodology.
• Experience with SQL, Excel, JavaScript, and Python.
