Our IAM Team sits at the heart of a distributed system, and plays a role in almost all interactions in our loyalty product. You’ll work with banks & fintechs around the world to enable secure yet flexible access, authentication, and automation that transforms how customers use our rewards platforms, putting Identity at the heart of the banks’ security and growth.

Join us as a Staff Engineer, IAM Core Banking.

As a member on the Authorizations team, you will:

• Craft secure, performant, cross-app & platform applications for our rewards consumers & internal banking teams
• Play a key role in driving day-to-day work such as sprint planning, pair programming, technical mentorship, and code reviews.
• Partner our TPM organisation & Clients to map business requirements onto existing systems, and craft upgrades to our AuthN, AuthZ & IAM Architecture with all Ascenda services, including but not limited to compute, storage, DB and our ML/AI systems.
• Partner our engineering managers to define and execute on the technical roadmap to continuously tighten the security posture of overall Ascenda Ecosystem & Infrastructure.
• Handle production incidents and improve operational processes, monitoring, and tooling to minimize their impact.
• Have the opportunity to solve problems across multiple areas, such as performance, internationalization, multi-tenancy & scalability

Job requirements

You’ll be an excellent fit with us if you’re

• Strong technical background, with prior experience in similar roles such as Tech Lead, Engineering Manager or Staff level engineering roles
• Experience building large-scale, high throughput distributed systems on the Cloud. Hands on experience with event-driven architectures
• Proven expertise in distributed systems, data-driven solutions, and exposure to large scale security, identity and access control projects
• You are self-motivated and function well in situations with high levels of ambiguity.
• You prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale.
• Have experience in developing technical roadmaps/RFCs to communicate technical strategy and vision
• Have at least 7 years of software development experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist sales team such as preparation of quotation, ensure smooth delivery and invoicing
• Support bookkeeping, preparation of SOA and follow with up with AR Collections
• Manage company expenses or purchases, monitor AP and liaise with suppliers
• Track and replace office supplies when necessary
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by Accounts Manager

Job Requirements:

• Familiarity with invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
• LCCI qualification in Accounting or relevant working experience in a similar administrative/finance role is advantageous
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and XERO Software will be preferred
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

· Handle full sets of accounts (Account Receivable, Account Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Asset, Bank Reconciliation, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss account) for 7 companies

· Generate invoice for monthly rental & utility to tenants

· Reconcile inter-companies accounting

· Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and company secretary

· Ensure monthly management report is done on a timely basis

. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by superior

· Responsible for Full sets of account (AP/AR/GL/Bank/Petty Cash)

· To prepare monthly payroll and ensure all documentations are complying statutory requirements

· Maintain monthly cash book, bank reconciliation and collection reconciliation.

· Perform a month-end-closing and preparation reports

· Process payment for suppliers/customers

· Preparation of audit and tax schedule for year-end audit and tax submission.

· Oversees and manages the full spectrum of Human Resources

· Monitoring employee's leave, process staff claim and other daily HR matters

· Prepare tax computation and Return Form as well as manage tax compliance matters for a portfolio of tax clients

· Handle tax consulting assignment under supervision by Manager

· Prepare, organize and handle all tax documents, reports and statements

· Ensure compliance with tax professional standards and ethics in tax assistant functions

· Manage and update the tax database

· Perform several clerical and secretarial duties such as type, print or copy documents and reports, answer telephone, make appointments and receive and send e-mails and other required tasks
