Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity

• Experience of working with founders or early-stage investors would be highly valued – as would a strong existing network of contacts across Singapore and South-East Asi

The chosen candidate will have to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (3 Lines of Defence and Technology) and proactively anticipate and manage risks and issues which may cause delays and unexpected outcomes along the project life cycle.

Department overview:

The Product Control team is part of the wider Global Middle Office team that plays an important role within Finance. The Product Control (PC) team is an independent control function that ensures the integrity of Nomura's financial statements. Role description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-driven Product Controller to join the Credit and Loans PC team. Investment Advisor, Private Wealth

Responsibilities:

• Focus on private welath management segment, including high net worth and family offices. Form good understanding on the wealth management landscape and develop a good network within the segment.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth, including but not limited to direct prospecting, referring channels and events.
• Develop in-depth understanding on moomoo’s platforms, products and solutions, able to differentiate and match accordingly to Private Wealth clients' trading and investment needs.
• Initiate and drive internal improvements on platforms, products and solutions to better match the general needs of private wealth clients.
• Plan and work independently to achieve personal sales targets within a team setup, where you can leverage resources among your peers and other teams within the company.
• Maintain good relationship with family officers and high new worth clients, and establish long term client retention and partnerships.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of working experience in business development functions facing HNW / UHNW and family offices, focusing on trading/investment products, platforms, or solutions.
• Have experiences dealing with private wealth clients on investment and asset allocation, etc.
• Self-driven in advisory function and able to manage the whole client cycle independently.
• Solid knowledge base in multi-assets, compulsory in equities trading. Able to pick up quickly on demonstrating trading/investment platform and solutions.
• Fast learner, effective communicator, and team player.
• Good command of Mandarin is a huge plus.

Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger Management

• Execute month-end closing activities such as accounting period close/open and forex setup.
• Process journal entries in a timely manner.
• Calculate revenue accurately for various business segments.
• Verify intercompany transactions and ensure timely reporting.

2. Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly management reports, including trial balance, balance sheet, and profit and loss statements.
• Compile and analyze financial information, conducting variance analysis where necessary.
• Reconcile accounts and provide comprehensive explanations and supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecast reports.

3. Process Improvement and Cross-Functional Initiatives

• Identify and communicate process shortcomings or accounting control weaknesses.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial operations workflows.
• Provide financial information and support to other departments as needed.

4. Local Statutory Reporting

• Support annual external audit processes.
• Assist with annual corporate tax filing and GST submissions.

5. Ad-Hoc Support

• Handle billing for specific business segments.
• Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Diploma/Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Outstanding problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.
• 1-2 years of pertinent work experience in a comprehensive Accountant role within a demanding and high-volume setting.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in ERP systems.
• Knowledgeable about local tax and regulatory compliance.
• Possess a solid grasp of accounting and financial principles.
