Job Summary
Financing & Securities Services (FSS) business has a unique footprint in Asia, Middle East, and Africa, and offers a growing range of products, including direct custody, international custody, funds services, trustee services, transfer agency, prime services, and compliance monitoring, to several client sectors including banks, investors, intermediaries, sovereigns, fund managers insurance companies and corporates.
The role holder is accountable for end-to-end delivery of Fund Services Operations globally, covering all the streams of products maintenance of various operational risk related controls. Identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize operation processes and as well as automate manual processes across countries and hubs. Develop and deliver training programs and materials to ensure the successful adoption and utilisation of Fund Accounting System by the Fund Services Operations Team.
Act as a subject matter expert for the Fund Accounting System, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Work with Regional COOs to agree regional and local priorities, and resolve issues around the operating model, systems, and processes to ensure these are considered and prioritised into investment plans, remediation initiatives and any other process as appropriate.

· Contribute towards the future strategic direction and process innovation/improvements of Securities Services by keeping abreast of changes in customer needs, technology and business environment and taking pro-active steps to embrace and capitalize on these changes.
· The role requires extensive collaboration with regional and country functions such as Sales, Client Management, Technology, Product Management, and country operations when it comes to identifying opportunities for improvements, standardisation, enhancements, and automation.
Business
· Assist Head of Securities Operations Enablement in ensuring standardisation and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency of Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency processes and consistent delivery of high-quality services to customers and meeting objectives set by the Group using available resources allocated while maintaining operational risk to an accepted level.
· Partner with Countries Operations, Product and FSS Sales to ensure the key services are being performed to the standard required. Alignment to FSS growth targets and creating an agenda which mirrors the aims of the Product & Solutions and Delivery team
· Acts as escalation point for regional level operational issues. Together with Regional FMO head, identifies remedial solutions and oversees timely, efficient implementation when required
· Works closely with Regional FMO heads to ensure operational platforms support client service level agreements and internal benchmark as well as identifying opportunities for automation
· Champions the identification and implementation of operational best practice across markets within region and with other regions
· Drives continuous improvement culture to maximise cost and processing efficiency

· Ensures compliance with group and country policies, code of conduct, regulations, and laws
· Work with Regional FMO heads to ensure requests are rolled out in a controlled and timely fashion
· Drive process standardisation across regions and frequent sharing of best practices processes
· Act as the Operations Conduit of ORE Transformation initiative, working together with Technology, Product to review and prioritise LuWs raise across all regions
· Review CRs/JIRAs raise across regions, ensure request fall within the target operating model
· Role models a strong, collaborative business relationship between operations, technology and business stakeholders.
· Supports “One Bank” through strong connectivity with support and sales functions and related businesses such as Cash and Trade

· Ensure that all staff of the department continues to be equipped and developed with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to achieve the required level of competency to facilitate them to perform their roles and responsibilities effectively, efficiently and accurately.
· Facilitate the building of a performance-driven organization by setting SMART objectives, constantly reviewing the dept’s and individual performance against these objectives and providing the appropriate support, motivation, and guidance to staff to achieve these objectives.
· Responsible for succession planning for key positions, managing the attrition of employees and ensuring that a plan is developed and executed for high potential individuals in the department.
Risk Management
· Be guided accordingly and aware of the roles and responsibilities for money laundering prevention as stipulated in the Money Laundering Policy, Group Sanction Policy and Escalation Procedure.
· Be guided accordingly and aware of the roles and responsibilities for money laundering prevention as stipulated in the Money Laundering Prevention (MLP) Group Policy, Money Laundering & Suspicious Transaction Guidelines for Securities Services Management, Suspicious Money Laundering Transaction Reporting Procedures and / or Monitoring Checklist, and Escalation Procedure for Suspicious Money Laundering Transactions.
· Ensure due care and diligence is exercised on day-to-day operational matters relating to Money Laundering and KYC, acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus, providing support to superiors and subordinates.
· Conforming and adhering to the Team’s risk profile, by following the guidelines / policies / procedures stipulated for Operation Losses, Escalation Procedures, Securities Services Policies, etc.
· Ensure that control and security policies / procedures governing all processes in the department are in place, implemented and reviewed (as and when necessary) and to ensure that these policies/ procedures not only continue to be relevant and effective in mitigating risk, but also supports the need for high operational efficiency and excellent customer service.
· Key Control Standards Assessment within department with nil over dues.
· Follow up on corrective/ preventive actions to a point where concerns arising from these findings are addressed to a satisfactory level.
· Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, (including Sanctions Policy) guidelines, procedures, practices, and code of conduct imposed by the Company/Group.
· No major adverse findings from internal auditors or external auditors including quality audits

Our Ideal Candidate
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
· 15+ years of experience in fund services or investment operations, with a focus on a transformation projects
· Strong understanding of fund accounting system, MFGA (Multifonds Global Accounting).
· Understanding of process flows between front, middle and back- office and experience of working/collaborating with financial institution/asset management.
· Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to fund services.
· Strong understanding and ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks to the firm.
· Awareness and understanding of the firm’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
· Ability to assess the effectiveness of the firm’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.
· Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
