ABOUT HOME
The Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (www.home.org.sg) is a Singapore-based charity founded in 2004. HOME is dedicated to empowering and supporting migrant workers who experience abuse and exploitation. We provide immediate crisis intervention, casework support, as well as educational programmes to achieve our goal of enhancing the wellbeing of migrant workers.
SUMMARY
HOME is looking for candidates with minimally 2–5 years of administrative experience. We seek a multitasker with strong organizational abilities and a positive demeanour.
The ideal candidate will assist in administrative and HR-related tasks and manage various administrative responsibilities while fostering a collaborative atmosphere in the workplace. Hiring will be on a one-year contract basis with possibility of conversion to a permanent position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Administer maintenance and other service contracts, including renewal of contracts and maintenance of facilities, liaising with vendors as required.
· Assist in the procurement and purchase of office and shelter supplies and other services, including sourcing for and evaluating vendors, monitoring stock levels of supplies, and ensuring delivery and quality of products and services.
· Maintain inventory of assets at HOME’s offices.
· Handle day-to-day HR administrative work, e.g. HR documentation and processing (timely update of employees’ leave applications, medical claims and other benefits) and coordinating arrangements for onboarding of new staff etc.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and data.
· Organise events and activities for employee engagement and appreciation.
· Assist with volunteer management: organise orientation sessions and engagement activities to attract and retain volunteers; maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities.
· Provide clerical and logistical support to management, and other ad-hoc duties as assigned, including sourcing for and booking venues for events etc.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
· Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
· Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
· Organised, meticulous, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels.
Qualifications:
· Minimum diploma and above.
· Between 2–5 years of working experience in related field.
Salary & Benefits
· S$3000–S$3,500 per month
