Responsibilities:
Prepare tables by cleaning and setting up linens, silverware, glasses, chinaware, etc.
Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
(when this becomes part of the café’s selections, and you are not sure the person is old enough) and for any
other regulatory guidelines from MOH and other relevant authorities including but not exclusive to Covid-19.
Follow all relevant MOH regulations.
Greet and escort customers to their tables.
Present the menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential
food allergies).
Offer menu recommendations upon request, up-sell additional products when appropriate and answer guests’
questions about ingredients and menu items.
Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a regular order pad, or by memorization or a POS or ordering
software.
Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff or chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests
(e.g., food allergies)
Deliver and Serve food orders from the kitchen and Drinks from Bar to customers' tables quickly and
accurately.
Act as the contact point between Patrons, Front House Staff and Back Office staff (Chef, Food Runner, etc.)
Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
Remove dirty linens, dishes, and utensils from the table as and when required.
Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g., when they ask for the check)
Deliver checks and collect bills/process payments
Provide excellent customer service to guests.
Take orders from online / delivery platform systems and pass them to the kitchen.
