The Global Health Law and Governance Program at the NUS Centre for international Law is recruiting a one-year Research Associate position. The Program focuses on the international legal, regulatory and governance aspects of pandemic prevention and response, as well as international public health emergencies. Topics of interest include the World Health Organization's negotiations on a new pandemic accord, the revision of the International Health Regulations, improving fair and equitable access to medicines, access and benefit sharing of pathogen samples/genetic sequencing data, intellectual property and technology transfer, global health innovation and technologies, and more. Job Description

• Provides basic nursing care to the residents in the nursing home.
• Assists the State Registered Nurse in the delivery of nursing care such as:

· supervision of Nursing Aides (NA) and Healthcare Attendants (HCA)

· supervision and assistance to the rest of care team in the proper transfer/lifting of residents

· assisting residents in their activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, grooming and feeding

· promoting education of self-care and independence for residents, ensuring a sense of well-being

• Carry out nursing rounds with the registered nurse.
• Ensure the proper delivery of nursing procedures such as dressings, instillation of eye drops, topical creams applications, etc.

• Checks, monitors and records residents’ vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure and apex beat.
• Maintains accurate documentation of care given.
• Jointly work with the Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist/Physio-Aide to provide rehabilitative exercises for the residents.
• Guides the Nursing Aides in observing and recording of nursing care eg report any unusual observations and/or deterioration in resident’s physical condition to the Registered Nurse.
• Participate in the handling of emergencies (even if off-duty where necessary).
• Work as a team and respond to residents’ needs which include:-

· answering call bells

· ensuring residents are comfortable, dry and clean at all times

· doing rounds of the residents to check on their conditions

· Supervision and assistance in 2 hourly turning of total dependent residents

· serving and feeding the residents their correct meals/feeds

• Keep updated on nursing care by reading, attending talks, seminars and lectures.
• Co-ordinates with other departments such as housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a safe, clean and properly maintained environment.
• To be on rotating shift and on call whenever necessary.
• Any other duties as required by Supervisor.

Requirements

The position will involve triaging emergencies, assistance with emergency procedures, anaesthetic monitoring, lab work, day and overnight hospitalisation (intensive) care and reception work. Full-time hours will include day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a rotational roster. Shifts are mostly 12 hours, allowing more days off per week.

EDDC now has an opening and is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Research Officer for the IFP in the Oncology Discovery team at EDDC. The successful candidate will undergo an eighteen-month on-the-job training programme that involves participation in and supporting inter-disciplinary and collaborative drug discovery projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team working on the discovery of novel therapeutics and engaging in preclinical drug development from target exploration to drug candidate selection.

Principle Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and perform biochemical, biophysical and cellular assays for functional characterization of small molecules and biologics.
• Analyze and present experimental data in a clear and concise manner, demonstrating a good understanding of its utilization and implications in the context of drug discovery.
• Perform molecular cloning, stable cell-line generation and CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing.
• Support laboratory housekeeping, safety check, SOP writing and other administrative and compliance-related processes.
