Job Description:
As a clinic nurse in a plastic surgery clinic, you would be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures. You would need to be knowledgeable about the procedures, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
1. Pre-operative care: You would be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, which includes reviewing their medical history, explaining the procedure, and ensuring they understand the pre-operative instructions. You may also administer pre-operative medications and assist the surgeon with pre-operative preparations.
2. Intra-operative care: During the procedure, you would monitor the patient's vital signs and assist the surgeon as needed. You would also be responsible for maintaining a sterile field and ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient.
3. Post-operative care: After the procedure, you would monitor the patient's vital signs and provide post-operative care, such as changing dressings, administering medications, and providing comfort measures. You would also educate the patient and their family on post-operative care instructions.
4. Patient education: You would educate patients on the risks and benefits of plastic surgery procedures, as well as the expected outcomes and recovery process. You would also provide instructions on wound care and other post-operative care.
5. Documentation and charting: You would maintain accurate and detailed medical records and patient charts, including vital signs, medications administered, and any complications or concerns.
6. Teamwork: You would work closely with other members of the plastic surgery clinic team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses, to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient.
Job Requirements:
- At least Diploma in Nursing & SNB registered
- Excellent interpersonal skills and is a good team player
- Overseeing clinic operations
- Reception work/phone enquiries & emails
- Assist doctors during treatment/operation
- Performing treatments for patients as instructed by the doctor-in-charge
- Co-ordinating with marketing on lead generation
