Programme Executive
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the delivery of cognitive programs and services to assist in the day-to-day operations and to meet the safety and quality aspects of care delivery to the dementia participants.
Program Facilitation & Development
-Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with clients, caregivers, volunteers and the community.
-Conduct the following 3 different aspects of the program:
o Exercises/Range of Motion/Creative Dance Movements
o Cognitive Engagement Hour Facilitation; and
o Music Facilitation
-Conduct a virtual E-engagement program:
o Group Brain Gym
o 1 to 1 interactive cognitive engagement
-Understand and familiarize the profile of each participant, and take note of their responses, change of behaviour and any other key noting areas that require attention
-Assess the participants’ profile, including, for example, cognitive, behavioural and functional abilities, to tailor appropriate care according to their needs.
-Execute the planned Cognitive Activities suitable for the profile of the participants with the right posture of speech, positive and effective language/instructions, and to engage each participant as effectively as possible.
-Observe instructions and guidelines to ensure conformity in the facilitation of programs, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, handle and manage the participants with the duty of care, and exhibit the spirit of a team player to ensure cohesive work relationships for the best interest of our participants.
-To assist in the sourcing and creation of cognitive activities to improve and rejuvenate refresh resources and activities used.
-Ensure the safety and quality aspects of care delivery.
General Operation and Administration
-Handle calls/general enquiries from the public and potential clients.
-Preparation for assessment and/or onboarding of the new participants such as preparing the participant's personal files, name tags, e-record of participants’ details and other miscellaneous administration)
-Ensure that participants’ records are updated, appropriately filed and kept.
-Render support to participants and caregivers as and when required and assigned by the Director of Programs
-Render general support for all events as assigned by the Director of Programs
-Assist the Director of Programs in the various aspects of the program, including curriculum development and logistic preparation.
-Maintain the inventory of office equipment and furniture. Liaise and correspond with relevant organizations regarding maintenance of premises as well as fire safety equipment.
Requirements
-Relevant education in mental health, social work or related field study in gerontology
-Relevant experience in geriatric services and program execution for dementia clients
-At least ABRSM Piano Grade 8 and musically inclined to conduct music facilitation for different profiles of clients
-Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
-Able to attend and participate in regular devotions in church
